Unlikely Pairing

The rescue?

-Moments before the phone call-

(Hawks's P.O.V)

We arrive at an old abandoned warehouse that, according to Dabi, the League of Villains uses to let in new recruits.

Once there, officers escort Dabi out of a van and unlock the shackles that he's wearing.

As he rubs his wrists that are now free he says, "I can see why she never liked wearing these now at least."

"Shut up", I say coldly, "Do you know what you have to do?"

"Yeah, yeah", he says, "Get him to open the gate and let you and some of the 'heroes' run in while they put my shackles back on."

I give him back his cellphone so he can make the call and say, "And don't try anything stupid. We'll know if you do."

"Of course you would", he says, "I know you bugged the phone so you could listen in on me."

"Well, you should be smart enough to handle yourself then", I say and walk off.

I get in position near an open window that looks into the warehouse, and watch as Dabi walks in with Shinso right besides him. I still hate the idea of Shinso even being here, but I know he's doing it for Nekuro.

Dabi starts making the call and I can hear as it rings.

Kurogiri answers and says, "Tomura Shigaraki made it very clear that he did not want you here after what you did."

"This is important though", says Dabi, "I've found a new recruit for you all that has a better quirk than what that girl has, and he wants to join the league himself as well."

"You'll have to discuss that with him then", says Kurogiri.

"Then put him on the line", says Dabi.

Moments later, Shigaraki takes the phone and says, "What the hell do you want?"

"Don't act like you don't miss me", says Dabi.

"Of course I don't", says Shigaraki, "We threw your sorry ass out of here."

"Well then you might want to let me back in because I found something that you'll like", says Dabi.

"Oh really", says Shigaraki, "And what exactly would that be?"

"A kid who wants to be a villain with a much stronger quirk than the girl you have now", says Dabi.

"Really", says Shigaraki.

"And all you have to do is trade me for the girl", says Dabi, "It's not like she was going to join you anyway. I know her too well."

"How do you know that", says Shigaraki, "We could've convinced her while you were gone."

Dabi laughs and says, "Oh please. I've known that girl long enough to know that while she may pretend to go a long with what someone tells her to do, she's just trying to gain your trust. Just until you turn your back around so she can stab it."

"How do we know that's not what you're trying to do", says Shigaraki.

"Because you know that all I want is the girl", says Dabi, "Give her to me and you'll never hear from me again."

Shigaraki sighs and says, "Fine, I'll tell Kurogiri to let you in", then hangs up.

As we wait for that damn gate to open, I start to wonder what Kurogiri meant when he said "after what you did"? What the hell could Dabi have done that was so bad that a group of Villains kicked him out?

I start running scenarios in my head of what could've possibly happened. Maybe he hurt some one that he wasn't supposed to hurt? That's when I realize that this monster could've done something to my girl.
