They debated for a while before deciding to go to the library, there were not only books but also documents from each and every one of the previous rulers and their families.

After searching for a while, they were able to find documents that belonged to their father and along them, multiple truths.

First of all, Bomei wasn't lying, he was actually his son and the twins older brother, but he only shared father with them, they had different mothers.

Bomei's mother, Konto, never really got to be crowned as queen, as she and their father broke the relationship while engaged and when they already had a child.

It was actually for the best.

Turns out that Konto wanted to use the king to obtain power and fame, documents said that she wanted to rule all the kingdoms, not only Genzo, and that when she got the throne she would get rid of the king.

Having Bomei was only a way to secure they would get married and she hid it so well nobody knew her true intentions.

Except Sukui, Tai and Safiya's mother.

At that time Sukui was the leader of the Yoru mercenaries, they were working for the king, who was close to retiring and passing the crown to his son.

She was able to notice how the future queen was power hungry and when she realized that, their mother knew that, if Konto got to the highest position, it would be the end for everyone.

However, Sukui knew that the word of a mercenary was nothing compared to the word of a future queen, so she realized that the only way to make her plan work, was for Konto to reveal herself.

Sukui became her friend and was able to, step by step, get information out of her, the confidence the future queen had about her plan was her fallout.

One day, their father, mother, the future queen and the king were on a meeting when they started talking about the future coronation, then, everything fell apart for the future queen.

Their mother was able to make Konto spill her plans for the kingdom in front of her fiancé and when she realized her mistake and tried to get them back, Sukui took out multiple documents which had her plans written with so much detail it had to be true.

The king was enraged and without hesitation he exiled her and Bomei, their father didn't stop it.

After some time, their parents married, Sukui didn't mean to marry their father, she was supposed to leave after finishing her work but the king made her a member of the court, eventually though, they fell in love and by the king's approval they got married.
