Chapter 3- Against Time

All royals were worried sick for the king and with a fair reason.

While Haru was cleaning his wound, Tai started showing multiple symptoms like breathing difficulties, dizziness and he was very weak physically.

Haru tried to lessen his sickness by using a combination of Aloe Vera and Lavender and while it definitely improved his condition, it wasn't enough to heal the poison.

While the plants are able to delay some effects, if they didn't find a cure Tai would die eventually.

Now the main conflict was that they didn't know how to heal him, no matter how many flowers and plants they tried using, nothing was strong enough to surpass the venom.

"Hello Haru, how are things going?" Safiya, Takevu, Hiroshi and Haki entered the room where Tai was resting.

Haru sighed tiredly and said "Not that well, I haven't found a mix effective enough"

She showed them her desk where she had multiple plants and some jars filled with what they assumed were experiments of antidotes.

The youngest lifted her hands towards her hair while saying "I don't know what else to do, I fear that he won't survive long enough"

Haru suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder, raising her head she saw her brother's tired eyes, he smiled at her trying to give his comfort.

Safiya said "Haru, please don't blame yourself for this, besides, we still have time"

Tai made a motion for Safiya to get closer to him, she did and started stroking his hair as a way to calm him down.

"Sister" Tai said with a raspy voice "Could you get me my notebook?"

She nodded and quickly went to get what he asked for.

After giving Tai his notebook and pencil, the king started drawing.

When he was finished, he showed his drawing to the others.

It was a drawing of a plant, this had blue petals, each of them had a golden tip and it seemed to be quite big.

"I was reading a book about each rulers government, in one there was a mention about how the king had fallen sick, the child that found a cure would be the heir of the throne, the next ruler discovered this flower, which is said to grow in a small lake called Mizu, outside of Genzo"

"This flower it's said to treat every sickness that comes from nature, meaning it can heal anything that's caused by a plant or animal"

"If we find this flower then we'll be able to heal the venom"

"There is a small issue though" Hiroshi commented "The Mizu lake is at the east of the kingdom, the place where Bomei is living"

Takevu said "You fear that we find him"

"Yes, honestly I can't help but believe it's all part of his plan, because if we don't go there, Tai will die in a matter of time"

"There is always a risk Hiroshi" Haki replied "But this is the only choice we have, if we have to fight, then we'll fight"
