Tai woke up slightly startled, he looked outside the window, it was probably 5 or 6am.
"Tai?" He heard a quiet voice besides him, it was Safiya.
"Oh, sorry sister, I didn't mean to wake you up"
"Did you have another nightmare?"
"No, it's just that... I spoke with our parents"
"Really? What did they tell you?"
"Well rather what I told them, dad never thought about the possibility of raising Bomei until I called him out, he definitely wasn't happy"
"...And mom?"
"Mom just gave me one of her wise advices, she wants us to try and talk to Bomei before fighting"
"Is that possible?"
"I don't know but I promised her I would give it a try"
"... you know, it's very interesting how they communicate with you by your dreams, sometimes I wished they talked to me more"
"I know, not only them can do it though, Takevu told me she had a dream where her mother talked to her"
"Yeah, Haki once told me he was visited by his father, the real Garon, he came back to apologize for what he had done and said how proud he was of him, Haki was so happy"
"What interests me though, is that you're the one who they communicate the most with and they do it at the same time, while with me, mom talked to me on one night and dad on another"
"You're right and for what I can speculate, my dreams last almost the double any of yours does, maybe because I talk with both"
"It could be, but in the end, what matters is that mother wanted to give you advice didn't she?"
"Yes, as much as I would like to follow it, I have a lot of doubts"
"... it could be possible to solve things peacefully as far as I'm concerned but we just can't predict what will happen"
"...Yeah, anyway, it's best that we start preparing for the day"
The only thing they could do was to send guards constantly to the borders and evacuate the people that lived in the closest villages to the border.
That's all they did until a letter arrived.
"Guys" Tai entered the room in which they were all resting.
"Yes?" They all turned their heads towards him.
"You'll want to see this" He showed the envelope.
As most of them suspected, it was a letter written by Konto, what was it about? Well...
The first part was a rant, on one part, it was throwing hate towards their father by calling him coward, weakling and other things they would rather not mention.
The other part was a rant about how Tai and Safiya, specially referring to Tai though, took Bomei's throne and how they both were willing to let them live if they gave the crown to him.
"There is something that intrigues me" Haki commented.
"What is it?" Safiya responded.
"Even though Bomei is related to the previous king, his mother wasn't proclaimed as queen, your mother on the other hand, was crowned so you technically come from two monarchs"
"This should mean that you are the rightful heirs right?"
"Well, yes, besides Tai and I are already ruling and Takevu would take the throne if needed"
"However, it's clear that this fact won't stop them, hence why the second paragraph of the letter is a threat against Genzo"
"Do you have any idea of when and where they could attack?"
"I don't know but-"
They kept talking for a while and were so concentrated on creating a plan that they never noticed that a second package had arrived and with it... a dangerous creature.
They suddenly heard a hiss, when they turned around they saw a habu snake, one of the most poisonous of Genzo, it seemed to place its gaze on Haki and was about to bite him when Tai interfered and received the bite on his neck, more specifically below his birth mark.
"Tai!" Safiya quickly got rid of the animal and checked on her twin.
It hurt, it hurt a lot, it felt as if his wound was burning.
"Haru, can you heal him?" Hiroshi asked his sister.
"I don't know" She said worried "I may have some flowers that can lessen the effect of the venom but I don't know if it will be enough"
Takevu said "Let's get him treated before it gets worse"
They all know how dangerous the venom of a habu snake is and as Haru said, they don't have a guaranteed antidote.
They can only wait and hope that they're able to cure him.
