After stablishing a route and creating a plan, they were ready to go outside of the kingdom.
At first the journey wasn't so difficult, the east of Genzo is known to be peaceful and with very few people, it was a place in which lovers of nature would find everything they could want.
Tai had also the advantage of being very resistant and having a high stamina, so the symptoms of the venom weren't as bad.
At least for a while.
However, when they started getting closer to the lake, things started complicating.
Hiroshi's fears were confirmed when they started getting ambushed by rogues and mercenaries, which were the ones Bomei made deals with, at least that's what Haki remembered.
The battles weren't actually very hard since they also had the support of the Yoru mercenaries and some of their own soldiers.
The real issue was that the battles slowed them down significantly.
And that meant that Tai's condition got worse.
While he didn't participate in most confrontations, Tai was able to fight if necessary, now however, he really is struggling.
Haru was able to treat some of his symptoms with Lavenders or Aloe Veras but as the days passed the venom seemed to be getting stronger against the medicines.
The king is currently very pale, gets dizzy constantly, can no longer fight or walk for long distances and he has even started fainting.
"Brother!" Safiya kneeled beside him while he tried to get some air in his lungs.
He looked at her but could barely distinguish her appearance "I-I'm fine*cough*"
Haki looked at him sadly and said "Tai please let us help you, it's clear you're extremely sick"
"*cough* R-Really, I'm fine"
He tried to stand up but his legs were too wobbly and he fell down almost immediately.
"Tai please, remember that you can also count on us" Takevu said "There is nothing wrong with being vulnerable, especially when you're sick"
"...Still I-"
He was interrupted when his twin sister picked him up and started carrying him on her back.
"I'm tired of you refusing our help, being the oldest sibling doesn't mean you can't lean on the younger ones"
"So I'm carrying you and that's final"
Tai wanted to protest but he finally decided to swallow his pride and allow his siblings and friend to take care of him, besides, he didn't have the strength to complain even if he wanted to.
