They walked for a while but had to stop to take a break.
They were ambushed again.
But this time, Bomei came along.
"Greetings my siblings" He mockingly said "I see that my small plan worked, now it's only a matter of time for him-"
Suddenly Safiya interrupted him with a snarl "Stop wasting our time! Are you here to fight or what?"
"I am Safiya and since you're so desperate, why don't we begin?"
The battle started, as much as she wanted to teach Bomei a lesson, Safiya quickly got away from the battlefield along with Tai.
They arrived at a small tree and stopped to rest.
Without a warning Bomei appeared, ready to kill Tai.
He and Safiya immediately started fighting.
They were both very equal in strength but the queen had some wounds from previous battles and soon it was complicated to keep up.
Eventually Bomei got the upper hand and was able to send Safiya to the ground, almost knocking her on the process.
Tai was horrified when he saw Bomei getting closer to his sister, clearly with the objective of ending her life, he wished he could help her but he didn't have the strength to fight.
Well, there was a way in which he could stand a chance, however, he knew it was something dangerous to do and he could end up doing more damage than good.
But... if he didn't do something Safiya would die and he couldn't bear to lose her again.
So he took a deep breath, closed his eyes and let his vision turn red as fury consumed him.
Just as Bomei raised his weapon to end with the queen's life, Tai intervened between them making Bomei flinch.
He was very surprised when he saw that Tai's golden eyes were now completely red.
Without any warning Tai started attacking Bomei, so fast and fiercely that the exiled prince was unable to fight back.
Bomei had never felt so scared in his whole life, despite experiencing death, hunger, misery and pain since he was a small child, nothing could compare to how intimidated he was by his younger brother, who no longer seemed to be the kind and smart man everyone said he was, rather he could only see anger and hate in his red eyes.
It seemed to have been concealed for some time and now it finally broke free.
But the fact that scared him the most was just how easily he could lose his life; he knew living as a rogue came with that risk but he never experienced it the way he was living it now.
Seeing how someone related to him didn't seem to hesitate while beating him up brought back memories of how his mother treated him.
Sure, Tai was harsher with his hits, but with him being consumed by rage it was difficult to expect otherwise.
His mother on the other hand, was always conscious of what she was doing and she never doubted to hit him if she deemed appropriate.
Bomei never thought about how wrong it was until he experienced the same treatment by the hand of a different person.
The rest of Tai's siblings and Haki arrived at the scene just in time to see Tai holding Bomei by his throat, his other hand wielding a katana.
They all though the king was going to end with his half sibling's life... but he didn't.
Tai locked their eyes and with a lower voice than usual said one simple word:
"Leave"
Bomei did that as soon as he was released, disappearing in the distance along with the mercenaries that survived the battle
