After following her they saw Takevu meeting with a man who, said by Haki, was actually Konto's strategist.
They were unable to know what they were talking about, but they could see the strategist's smug smile and when the conversation continued, Takevu could be seen getting more and more nervous.
Whatever they were discussing it was clearly taking a toll on the princess.
Suddenly the man said something that seemed to trigger Takevu, she clenched her fists and started screaming.
"HOW DARE YOU!?" They all flinched when she screamed.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT? FIRST YOU ABUSE HER AND NOW THIS!"
What was happening?
"DON'T YOU HAVE ANY REGRET?!"
The man looked at her and with the coldest voice possible he responded:
"No, I don't regret ending her life"
Takevu was in shock, the others noticed how tears seemed to form at the corners of her eyes.
They couldn't stand by anymore.
"Takevu!"
The princess glanced towards them, her look one of complete pain and sadness.
"W-What are you-?"
"Are you alright?" Tai asked concerned.
The man smiled wickedly and said.
"Well, well, it seems like they heard us, daughter"
Daughter?
"DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME THAT!" They had never seen Takevu so enraged.
Was he really Takevu's father? While Takevu took most of her appearance after her mother, her hair and eyes seemed to come after the strategist.
As much as they hated to admit it, they did look kind of similar standing side by side.
"Whatever you want to believe" He replied. "Anyway, I have to go, my lady needs me"
"Farewell Takevu"
The strategist hopped onto his horse and disappeared into the distance.
A few moments of silence passed until Hiroshi asked:
"Sister, are you okay?"
"I-I'm fine" As if they would believe that.
"Takevu please" Haru said "You're clearly not alright"
"I-It's just that I-I ARGH!!"
Without warning Takevu launched a punch towards one of the old trees of the valley, almost snapping it in half, proof of her incredible strength.
Everybody flinched at her actions, sure, Takevu was very prideful and stubborn, but she had never let her rage take control of her, she was the one known for having the best control over her emotions.
After the initial fury, Takevu couldn't hold it in anymore and tears started falling.
Most would think it was because of pain since her knuckles were damaged and the back of her hand was bleeding slightly.
But they knew better.
Tai glanced at the others and silently told them to step back.
They did and Tai started walking towards his sister.
Firmly but carefully he took her in his arms.
Takevu tried to refuse initially but soon she found herself burying her head on her brother's neck while she sobbed uncontrollably, soon Tai felt her tears roll down his throat.
Takevu was one of the strongest people mentally, sometimes even more than Tai, so seeing her curled against her brother as if she was trying to hide from the cruel world was just so heartbreaking.
Tai started remembering when they were younger, there were a lot of times where she came to his room after having a nightmare, he would always hug her and rock her gently until she fell asleep.
They hugged for a while and eventually Takevu calmed down, at least slightly.
