"Takevu, is he really your father?" Tai asked.
"H-He is" She responded whispering "I didn't want to believe it but... he had proof"
"What proof?"
"He-He does look like me and he- he just knows too many things about me, even things that happened before I arrived to Genzo, I had no other choice but to b-believe him"
"But you never met him didn't you? And your mother didn't have a relationship with him right?
"N-No, h-he abused my mother"
"Does that mean...?"
Takevu nodded, a few tears rolling down her checks.
Tai felt so much sadness for what his sister was going through, finding out the true reason you were brought to the world was something that could break anyone.
"M-Mother and I had to flee from our previous home, if we didn't she would have died and I would have been trained to be a k-killing machine"
"What do you mean?"
Takevu took a shaky breath and explained.
"As you know, h-he is the strategist of Konto, he told me that when he realized back then that he had a child, he thought of getting r-rid of my mother and training me to serve Bomei"
"In another life, I could have been fighting by Bomei's side"
"Mother and I were able to get away and eventually we arrived to Genzo, but he found us"
Takevu glanced sadly at the horizon before continuing.
"You remember how mother died right?"
"She had a terminal illness that ended her life"
"...Or so we thought"
"What?"
"My... f-father killed her"
Absolute silence, no one believed what they heard.
"H-How?"
"He-He infected her food with virus, by itself it isn't mortal but as the days passed he added poison in small amounts to worsen her condition"
"The process was happening so slowly that it was easy to believe she had a terminal illness"
"He was actually the one who suggested using the snake to k-kill you Tai"
"But why didn't he tried to take you?"
"It was because of you and dad, he knew you wouldn't hesitate to fight so he tried to wait after mother's death, when we were all in an unstable place"
"He didn't take into account that a new queen and mother would arrive"
"But now, he came back to reopen my wound" Her voice started shaking.
"I-I thought I had gotten over it, *sniff* but I was wrong"
Tears were falling again but she didn't stop them.
"I realize that I have been hurting for s-so long *sob* what's worse, what if the people find out about this?"
"I-I'm his daughter after all, w-will they hate me?"
"Of course not Takevu, you didn't do anything wrong, it's all on him"
"Listen, I understand that you feel as if everything is falling down in this moment, but you have to know that this will only be a patch on the road"
"..."
"It doesn't matter who your parents are, that doesn't define you, you are our sister and an incredible person, nothing is going to change that"
"We love you Takevu and you're our family"
"Thank you, I really appreciate it"
The rest of her siblings and friend came forward to give their comfort and reassurance.
For a moment Takevu had doubted everything she knew, of course, the reveal of her father and the truth about her mother's death will become harsh memories that will stay with her for a long time.
But knowing that her family would always stay by her side gave her the confidence that she will be able to move on eventually.
