Author's POV

"We all are idiots.... Ryan, you, me." Karan let out an empty chuckle.

"We are..." Sid let out an empty chuckle too.

"And I know Disha said those words because the same thing is happening again with the same girl y'know? Anyone would be annoyed right?" Sid continued.

"How can you be so sure? Things are not the same this time. I mean it could happen that she really doesn't care about me." Karan looked at the bright sky.

"I can read her like a book." Sid replied with a small painful smile.

"I won't let her go. And thank you for not confessing to her."Karan said getting up.

"Uh?" Sid looked at him.

"Because she is mine now." Karan said in a bit harsh tone and left.

"She is...." Sid whispered and hung his head low.

'Disha, you would never have to cry for anyone ever again. No one will hurt you anymore and I will never be a coward when it comes to you. You've hurt yourself enough.' Karan thought walking in the class.

Disha was not in the class so he asked a guy who sat in front of them.

"Have you seen Disha?"

"No."

Karan kept his head down and continued thinking, 'If there is a thing I'm absolutely sure about, it is that I won't let her go. You need to know how much you matter, you need to know everything. You're mine Disha. Everything will be okay now because each day from now on I'll make sure you're happy. Let's stop hurting each other...'

The rest of the 3 periods passed and Disha didn't come back to the class. Karan didn't leave the class thinking that Disha will come back, Sid didn't come too but that didn't bother Karan much as he was waiting for Disha desperately.

It was lunch time, Karan desperately waited for Disha but she did not show up. His gaze was fixed at the entrance but there was no sign of her. Lily and Sid entered the canteen and joined Karan.

"Did you guys see Disha?" Karan asked.

"Yeah...actually she wants to be alone for sometimes, I think we should give her some space...." Lily said and Karan only nodded.

Disha did not attend even one class that day, Karan spotted her when she was going towards the bus but her face clearly showed that she did not want to be bothered. Karan sighed and went to his home.

Next day, Disha did not show up to school which bothered Karan. He just hoped that it was not because of him or Raveena. Not wanting to be in class, Karan went out and roamed about the playground thinking about how everything changed ever since he joined this school.

How he came here with the intention to be close to Raveena, but little did he know she did not even want him to be here. All this time she was dating someone else while he thought she needed time to accept him. How did it never occur to him that she was hiding something? Why would she need time if they were together for more than three years? He laughed at his stupidity, as he recalled all those times when his friends warned him about her. He recalled all those things he told Disha, he accused her for playing mind games...How could he? When all this time he was indeed being played by none other than the girl he thought he loved with all he had. She must have hurt so much listening to the same accusations once again, this time again from someone she believed in. How he wanted to rip that guy's neck off... How could Sid just let it go when he claims to like her so much? He wanted to give some to Sid as well. He was so lost in his thoughts that he did not notice when someone came in front of him.
