Ryan's POV
I enter the office and sit on the waiting chair with my handkerchief on my nose. It hurts real bad. But I know I deserved it.
"Ryan! What happened to you?" I hear an annoying voice beside me, I turn towards the voice and see a girl sitting beside me. I am just gonna ignore her. My lips hurt too much to talk.
"Ryan, here's your slip. Don't you want to go to the nurse room first? Your wounds look pretty terrible." Raghav handed me my sick leave note. He is the office boy and we are kind of like friends.
I got up and started walking towards my classroom to get my bag. As soon as I entered, everyone looked at me. The teacher is not in the class which is a relief. I took my bag and headed out not wanting anyone to ask any questions. Most of them already must know what happened anyways.
As I was about to leave the building, I heard a voice calling me. I know all too well whom this voice belongs to.
"Ryan! Please tell me what happened! You look horrible! Please!" It is a rare sight to see 'The Great' Raveena pleading to somebody.
"Go ask your boyfriend. Stop bothering me. And don't try to pull this shit on me again. Stop acting like you care. All this happened because of you only. You are the reason of all the mess I am in!" My voice raised by the end. She does nothing but get on my nerves.
"Why do you think that just because I am not your girlfriend anymore, I don't care for you? And you are blaming me? You have the face to blame me? You were the one who came after me, I never told you to break up with her and come to me!" She turned around and went back to the classroom.
A heavy sigh left my swollen lips. She is right though, I don't have any right to blame her. I reach the parking area only to remember I did not bring my motorbike today. Fuck! Now I have to use public transport. Damn my brother! Why did he have to take the bike today of all days! My game was also shit today! Now I won't even be selected for the tournament because of this stupid suspension. What the hell!
As I start taking slow steps, memories from two years ago hit me like a wave.

Shit I'm late! I told Sid to wait for me but the bastard ran away. I was panting heavily when I reached the door of my classroom.
"Oh well...The hero finally arrives!" The teacher notices me and says sarcastically.
"I am fed up with you Ryan! And who was your partner in crime? Yes...Siddharth...He is also in this class right? Yet another nuisance...But I won't let disasters happen this year! You two will sit on opposite corners of the room at all times and I will make sure of it! Come inside." There she goes again. Huh....
"You will sit beside Disha. She is a good girl and I know you will improve if you sit with her." What the hell? This is so embarrassing! I walk slowly to the first bench where this girl is sitting.
" I will sit beside window." I spoke up as soon as she shifted towards the window to make place for me.
"Fine..." She said and let me take the seat. Her voice is so...
"Stupid teacher! Stupid Sid! Stupid class!" I murmured as I settled comfortably in my new place. I heard the girl next me giggle at my comment. I look at her and she stops laughing. Her laughter's cute though.
"Okay class now that the 'V.I.P.' is ready, let's start our first lesson of the year, 'The French Revolution'."
Great! Her sarcasms are never gonna bore me! Hah! But this subject sure does! I roll my eyes and look around the classroom to see who all are going to be in my class this year. My eyes fall on Sid. That bloody moron is sitting on the second last bench on the other corner of the room. I give him the finger as soon as he looks at me. He laughs at this and I glare at him. The audacity to laugh! I am gonna show him once the teacher's out of the class.
