Author's POV

'Does she actually like him?' Karan thought. He left before any of the two could notice him. He went back to the class and sat on the desk with his head down on the table. He heard Sid's voice calling him but he wasn't in the condition to talk to anybody. Disha's face appeared before his eyes and all he could picture was them hugging each other.

'No, I won't back off. I won't. I'll tell her, I'll tell her everything and she can choose between me and Ryan. I've had enough of my thoughts, she can't like him. This is not possible! He fucking humiliated her! Ryan doesn't deserve Disha-' his thoughts were interrupted by Disha's voice.

"Hi Karan! I'm back." She said sitting beside him.

"Where did you go?" Karan's voice was low and his eyes seemed sad.

"Just needed to sort some things out..." Disha replied taking out her book. Karan didn't reply back and Disha continued.

"Karan, I need your help this time. A lot."

"Yes...."

"Can you give me the notes?" Disha looked tensed. Karan didn't want to bother her much with his feelings and decided to let go of it for some time. Karan took out his book and started explaining the topics to her.

"Did you tell her yet?" Lily asked as they were sitting in their spot.

"First ask this asshole about the pre boards! Damn I wasn't serious throughout the year! Lily you'll help me right?" Sid said who was laying down on the grass with his head on Lily's lap.

"No! I won't study biology for you again! It's too much! Ask someone from your class!" Lily said pulling his hair lightly.

"You know that I love you so much that I give you this chance out of all the other people!"

"Come on! Even you know no one will waste their time on a dumbass like you!" Karan chuckled as he said that. Lily joined him too.

"No guys but seriously if we are in this condition despite attending all the classes think about Disha! She must be tensed..."

"She is.... That's why I am not bothering her with my shit right now." Karan replied with a pout.

"When will you tell her then?" Sid said looking at him.

"I am thinking maybe on farewell." Karan said looking at them expecting an advice.

"Yeah... It isn't far too...Just after the exams." Lily said.

"I know she likes you too, so you don't have to worry about anything. Tell her after the exams..." Sid said with happiness clear in his voice.

Weeks passed with all four of them studying really hard for the exams. Karan called Disha and helped her out, two hours every day. It was now like a part of Karan's daily routine. Lily studied biology when she took a break and Sid would come to her house after every two days for help. They got way too involved in their studies to think about anything out of it; Karan however, would prepare speeches to confess to Disha and was the only member of the group who was excited about the farewell. Though it would be the end of an amazing school life, it would also be a start of something beautiful for him with Disha.

The exams proved them that they needed to work harder as their grades dropped. Sid failed in chemistry and just passed physics. Lily didn't fail in any subject but barely passed the subjects. Karan scored lower than average in all the subjects, same as Disha. Disha was disheartened by the results but all three of them consoled her even though they were in no condition to console others.
