A Perfect Evening.

Author's POV

The next morning Karan woke up to a phone call from Sid.

"Hey! It's so early what's the matter?" Karan asked in a hoarse voice, rubbing his eyes.

"Bro! It's fucking 11:30. I called you to say that we're on our way to pick you up, so get ready if you aren't."

"Kay"

Karan woke up hurriedly and went straight under the shower plugging his phone for charging. He freshened up and chose a black t-shirt and blue jeans to go for the day. He pulled out some cash and put inside his back pocket. He checked his phone and saw that it was charged enough to go on till evening. It was 12:15 when Karan came downstairs and saw Sid and Lily sitting in the living room talking to his mom.

"Hey guys am I too late?"

"No! Your mom is a great company." Said Lily smiling. She was wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of ripped jeans. She looked amazing, her sleeves were short enough to show off each of her 4 tattoos which were hidden under her uniform. Her curves were much more prominent than when she was in her uniform and her hair was messier than usual. Karan assumed it was some kind of hairstyle she must've tried this morning. She wore a bracelet and a perfect tinted pink lipstick which made her look more beautiful than always.

"You didn't tell me Karan that you invited your friends over. You all just wait I'll make something real quick." Said his mom getting up.

"No aunty! It's not needed! We're going to hang out on the beach or something; moreover Lily here promised me a Pizza treat and I wouldn't let her escape." Sid said smiling. Sid wore a plain dark blue t-shirt over jet black jeans and damn was it enough for any girl to turn around.

"Yes ma. Leave it." Said Karan relieved that Sid didn't tell her about the tattoo they're going to get.

"Okay! But come to visit again beta."

"Yes aunty." Said Lily and got up to leave.

"Ma I'll be back by evening. Don't worry and call me up if you need something, okay?"

"Yes beta. Enjoy your day and by the way, I really like Lily. She's way better than Raveena." His mom smiled as she whispered.

"Shut up Ma! Geez-"

"Bye!!"

They walked out and sat in Lily's car.

"Is this yours?"

"Yeah, kinda. Actually my mom is always busy so she gave it to me on my 17th birthday this year so she wouldn't have to drive me everywhere." Said Lily as she turned the engine on.

"Karan she has a learner's license. Don't worry! She wouldn't kill us." said Sid sitting beside Lily.

"Well... it wasn't like that! Your car is beautiful." Said Karan sitting in the back.

"You don't say!" said Lily accelerating the car.

Karan looked outside the window and the cool breeze hit his face. He realised how he thought he would only be with Raveena all throughout High school. He thought he wouldn't be able to make friends and here he was with a girl who was so friendly and a boy who told him he doesn't walk like a human when they first met. Karan remembered how he called Disha the other night and how she fell asleep talking to him. He felt like the happiest 16 year old with everything he could've imagined.

Sid turned on the Bluetooth and started playing Linkin Park. The first song was 'Heavy'.

"I like this song." Karan said realizing that he was too silent.
