The Hero Beyond the Gears of Time (Izuku x Kendo)

Ch 14: UA Sports Festival; Part 1: Introduction

Nobody's POV:

It's been 2 weeks since Aizawa mentioned the sports festival to the class. During the 2 weeks, Izuku and Itsuka have been training together in her dad's dojo. Since Izuku mostly depended on his stand's immense strength, his hand to hand combat with his own strength was sub par. Kendo could easily take him down without the use of their quirks, since she was taught basic martial arts by her father. Izuku's training with Kendo was a bit shaky at first, but he was a quick learner, and he soon got the hang of fighting without his stand.

Flashback - One week ago

Izuku was strolling through the streets of Musutafa, and he was on his way to the dojo. Kendo's father, Kenta owned it, and it was fairly popular, with 60 or more regular students. Izuku looked up to see the orange and white sign from across the street 'Kendo's Martial Arts' and he quickly crossed towards it, after looking both ways of course.

Itsuka was waiting in a special training room that her father had let her use so they could train without bothering her father's class. They had been using that room ever since they had started training a week prior, and it was extremely strenuous, since both parties kept pushing themselves to the limit of their natural strength.

Itsuka already knew some martial arts techniques, so she was able to swiftly pin Izuku, who was clueless when it came to this stuff. He would try to overpower her with sheer force, but he would always be stiff and full of openings. She had taught him everything she knew, and within a week, he had gotten the hang of it. He would still lose to her of course, but he would slowly and steadily catch up to her level. He actually almost beat her once, if he hadn't tripped on his own leg when she was on the ground.

Izuku walked in, and the familiar sound of men yelling greeted him, as he made his way to the changing room. He changed into a red and white gi that had the word 'King' printed in Japanese on the back. He walked out and made his way to the training room, which was in the back, so he had to awkwardly walk through the main area. Itsuka's father would always greet him in a sort of aggressive manner, and although he didn't want to be rude, it was still awkward saying hello back, since all the men there would just stared at him. Today was no different.

"Oh why hello there Midoriya, how have you been? You've better have been keeping up with your training, or else you and I will have many problems. Oh and I know I've told you this countless times hehe... but you better be respectful to my daughter, any funny business and you'll be digging your own grave in my back yard, are we clear?"

"YES SENSEI!" Izuku yelled while saluting and bowing.

"Good... you may go..." Kenta said as he turned his attention back to his group of adult students. They were all laughing, and with an embarrassed face, Izuku made his way to the back where he usually meets Itsuka.

He walked into Kendo wearing nothing but a t-shirt and shorts that revealed a little too much. She was stretching, touching her toes with her back to the door. Izuku took in the view, processing what he saw, before passing out face first, with a bead of blood trickling down his nose. He landed with a thud, scaring Kendo, who jumped, almost landing on his head.

"What the- Izuku? What happened?!" She worriedly said bending down and turning the boy over. His eyes were swirls, and he was muttering random nonsense.

Kendo quickly made her way over to her bag, where she grabbed a water bottle. She opened it and poured some on her enlarge hand, propping the boy up, and splashing him with it. He jolted up at the chilled water hitting his skin, and almost bumped heads with the girl as he fell over again.

"Wha... what h-happened?" The confused boy said as he regained his balance. He wiped his nose, which had something running down it, and saw that it contained blood. The scene that had just happened flashed his mind again and his face exploded with steam.
