The Hero Beyond the Gears of Time (Izuku x Kendo)

Ch 21: Back to School

Nobody's POV:

A week had passed ever since the night of the sleepover... well not really a sleepover since everyone almost died. Kendo had recovered a good bit in the hospital, but she was still bandaged up in her arms and right leg. Everyone else recovered fairly quickly since their injuries weren't so serious. The police, Detective Tsukauchi leading them, continued their very thorough investigation of the League of Villains after they questioned everyone. Momo's parents were more relieved than anything else knowing everyone was alive and safe, and their mansion is currently being repaired. The two who weren't there, Todoroki and Iida, found out, and gave their condolences to everyone. Iida told the class about what happened to his brother, except for Izuku and Kendo, who he hadn't seen yet. They were later told by Kirishima.

Izuku stayed at the hospital for a day, not being able to see his girlfriend right away since she was injured critically. Even with the healing performed on her by Recovery Girl, she still had to stay for awhile. When he was finally allowed to, Izuku visited her everyday, not wanting to be apart from the girl any longer than he needed to. He was practically physically attached to her hip... ever since that night where they confessed their love for one another, Izuku has devoted himself to becoming her protector. He may have failed this time, but there was no way in hell he'd fail again.

Aizawa had given the class a week long break after the incident. It was long due anyways since they needed to rest up from the energy sapping sports festival, which Izuku had claimed the title of victor. The students from class 1a, along with Jotaro and Kendo were still shaken up from the traumatizing event, but they pulled through and made their way to school on the first day of the week. Itsuka was released from the hospital, being allowed to resume her classes. For some reason, she wasn't too excited to go back to her class. She felt like she fit in more with class 1a... besides, her boyfriend was in the mirror class. Sure she was Class rep, but she didn't really want the job either. People began calling her the 'big sister' of 1b because she kept everyone in line, but that was just her personality. Kendo thought long and hard about her decision, and she made up her mind.

The morning on the day back to school:

The pair had woken up in each other's arms, eager to begin school that day. Itsuka, with permission from her parents of course (she didn't say it was a boy) stayed at her 'friend's' house for the night before school. Of course that 'friend' was Izuku, she just couldn't get enough of his warmth, and plus, she needed someone to care for her while her arms were out of commission. Inko was more than happy to let the girl stay over, still not aware of the fact that they were together.

"Good morning Izuku... how was your sleep?" Itsuka yawned as she hugged the boy, wincing at the small amount of pain building up in her arms.

"It was good, really good with you next to me... how do your arms and leg feel?"

"A little sore still, but they're healing up really good... thank you by the way... I know I've told you this countless times, but still... thank you."

"For what?" Izuku asked curiously as he rose up from his bed, carrying the girl in his arms.

"For saving me. If it wasn't for you almost killing that guy... I would've been a goner. Jotaro told me he saw what you did to that guy... and he deserved it."

Izuku chuckled as he walked over to the bathroom. He let the girl lean on him so she wouldn't fall and they could brush their teeth. After making sure they're mouths were squeaky clean, Izuku continued.

"You know... I'd do anything for you. I should be apologizing for not being there earlier. I was too caught up in my own thing... I was totally useless in that situation."
