The Hero Beyond the Gears of Time (Izuku x Kendo)

Ch 13: Recovery

Nobody's POV:

UA closed early the day of the attack at the USJ. Most of the students from the prestigious school went to their homes, but a single group of students were all at the hospital, waiting for Midoriya to get out. It's been four hours since the attack, and class 1a were still gathered at the entrance.

"He healed himself up before, so he should be out by now right?" Kaminari asked as he gazed up at the huge hospital. Izuku was in stable condtition, and he had absolutely no injuries. The only reason why he was still inside was because he was exhausted.

"Yeah... maybe he actually has internal injuries that we just couldn't see..." Kirishima commented.

Kendo had been inside with Jotaro and Momo, waiting for any word from the doctors. They weren't allowed to go visit Izuku for some reason, but they were fine waiting in the waiting room.

The orange haired girl was especially worried. She saw that Izuku looked fine, but she couldn't be 100 percent sure because she had just arrived when the fight was ending. Momo could see Kendo's worry, as she tried her best to calm the girl down. Jotaro was leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets.

Izuku was currently in a hospital room with All Might. He had just woken up, and he shot off the bed like his life depended on it.

"WHERE AM I!?" The boy shouted, startling shrunken All Might, who was resting on a chair.

"Young Midoriya? Thank goodness you're awake, you had us all worried!"

Izuku surveyed the room, his gaze resting upon the skinny man on the other side of the room. He was having a rather disturbing nightmare, one that he wouldn't want to experience ever again. "O-Oh All Might... how long was I asleep?"

All Might chuckled, pointing at the clock, which read 6:12 "you've been out for a little over four hours, I think you're classmates are still outside waiting for you. They are a caring bunch."

Izuku smiled at his idol's words. He was glad that he had finally gotten into a school where the rest of his class cares deeply for one another. It was hundreds of times better than his middle school. "Thank you All Might... when can I leave?"

"Oh, well the doctor walked in a couple of times, but he couldn't really do anything until you woke up. I'll go get him now so you can be on your way. Oh, and one more thing Midoriya." All Might said walking towards the greenette. He ruffled the boys hair, and smiled. "Good job kiddo... I am so proud and honored to be your mentor."

Izuku could feel the tears welling up in his eyes. His own idol, the one pro he looked up to the most, was telling him that he was proud. What could be a greater achievement in life? "T-Thank you... so much All Might... I promise I'll do better and keep exceeding your expectations!"

"That's the spirit boy! I'll be back in a few minutes with the doctor so you can finally go home. We've already notified your mom, who seemed pretty... protective over you, but when we told her you have no injuries she seemed to calm down... at least a little bit." All Might laughed as he walked out of the room. He popped his head back in a few seconds later. "Do you want me to call Young Kendo? I can get her to come and see you if you'd like."

Izuku nodded "That'd be great, thank you again All Might! You're the best!"

After a few minutes of waiting, All Might returned with the doctor, along with Kendo. The rest of the class had already left, since the sun was already setting and they had to get home. They had all been checked out by the doctor previously to make sure they were all good to go, which thankfully, they were, thanks to Giorno's ability. Momo and Jotaro had also left, both leaving at the same time to their houses respectfully.
