Ch 24: Troubled Soul

Day 4 of internships (yes I know I skipped two days, but that would be sorta boring)

Nobody's POV:

The internships were going smoothly so far, everyone from UA having their fair share of action. Izuku was getting the hang of his new form, although it was by small increments at a time. Everyday he further increased the span of time he was able to hold it by a few seconds. He concluded that it would only be used as a last resort though, because the amount of stamina it consumed was unfathomable. Endeavor was able to help the greenette manage the strain the form put on his body, while also helping him keep calm during the transformation. When Izuku had full sense in his distorted form, his aura was completely black with red lightning, and his eyes were only black, instead of the usual mix of red black and white. He was making some pretty decent progress... but not as much as his significant other.

"Eight percent!" Kendo yelled, flinging her leg at the old timer. His dodges were becoming narrower and narrower, since now he was mostly on the defensive.

'From five to eight percent might not seem like much... but I feel so much more powerful.' "HA! Detroit.... SMASH!"

A small shockwave sent Gran Torino stumbling back, hitting the table while he stopped himself. "Kid... you're a prodigy or something. The three minutes are done. Let's stop for now, I'm hungry."

Itsuka smiled at her mentor, reverting back to her normal self. She took a few large huffs before falling onto the couch in slight soreness from the jump in percentage. She was getting a handle on it however, so the pain was becoming more bearable each time she practiced with it. "Thank you, I'm sure All Might will be really happy with my current progress."

"That's the stuff! Now come help me fix this table so we can have some grub, I have some left over yummy pastries that I've been looking forward to this whole day!"

The girl giggled as she strolled towards the kitchen, pulling up the table that had fallen over. Afterwards, she excused herself to go take a shower and change into casual clothes. She turned on the water, and began bathing herself before she heard a voice echo into the bathroom.

"After you're done and we eat, it's time for some patrolling, so make sure you're ready!"

"Alright Sensei!" Itsuka grinned widely at the thought of finally getting to put her skills to the test. She had never actually patrolled the streets before, only fighting villains when her life depended on it. She'd finally have some real hero experience with villains who aren't strong enough to give All Might a challenge. 'That reminds me, I need to call Izuku and ask him how his training is going... he probably misses me. Well obviously Itsuka, he's practically head over heals for you." The girl giggled before finishing up in the bathroom. She dried herself, and put on some casual clothes, which was just Izuku's t-shirt that had All Might's face on it, which was a size too big for her, and some teal joggers. She grabbed her phone, and navigated to the contact she was looking for.

Izuku was getting ready to go patrolling today too, putting on his cool hero costume... well, a slightly modified version of it. This time it was a lot less heavy, and he was given a utility belt for anything he would need at the moment. The support course kept the cape though, which was undoubtedly the coolest part of his costume.

Izuku walked towards the main office where he usually met the father and son duo, who had recently started talking with a little bit of light conversation. This brought joy to the young hero's heart, actually bringing a family back together... somewhat.

"Todoroki, your costume?"

Izuku's eyes landed on a familiar blue, red, and white gym outfit with UA imprinted on it in a weird design.
