Riley's PoV:
As soon as Andrew said we will be meeting the squad, I was excited. I was excited for many things. With that thought, I went into a deep slumber
Friday morning I woke up and made my way downstairs to have breakfast. My mom was cooking and dad was helping her. It was such a good sight to see.
"Yum. I smell something delicious" I said as walking into the kitchen.
"Morning, kiddo" Dad said.
I went over the counter and kissed dad and mom on the cheek and sat on the stool.
"Good morning, Mom and Dad" I greeted them.
"Morning" Alex said walking into the kitchen yawning.
He went over the counter and ruffled my hair as if it doesn't look ruffled already.
"Idiot!" I said rolling my eyes
"Eww Lex, did you even brush your teeth. You stink from a mile away" I said scrunching my nose.
"Shut up, Riley. Too early for a lecture" he said rolling his eyes.
"Oh is that right now. What's the name of the girl you were so engrossed in that you didn't even realise any people walking into the house yesterday?" I asked calmly.
"Wh-Who?" Alex asked flustered.
"Yeah the brunette girl. Yesterday she was in our home right?" I asked smirking.
"Okay you caught me alright?" Alex said giving up.
*Evil laugh*
"So, honey. What's her name?" Mom asked curiously.
"Mom, we are not dating." Alex said.
"Yet, Mom. Yet" I said laughing
"Her name is Sarah, okay?. I like her. But I kinda chickened out. So yeah" Alex said flatly.
"Oh honey. I am sure she likes you too." Mom said reassuringly.
"Son, come on. Man up. I didn't give my pretty genes and pickup lines to you for nothing. Get your head in the game" Dad said proudly while setting up the table
"Daniel, please. I know about your pick up lines. They suck. You should thank me that I married you". Mom said laughing.
"What, Madison? Don't tell me you didn't fall for my charms." Dad asked Mom. Making her blush.
"Okay hello. Dad. You proved the point. I will try my luck with Sarah." Alex said laughing.
"That's my boy" Dad said slapping him on his shoulder.
"Come on. Let's eat" Mom said.
My parents are literal goals.
"Uh. Mom. Dad. Tomorrow Andrew has invited Allie and I to hang out with Brent and his squad." I informed them.
"So now really meeting his friends, I see" Dad looking at me.
"Dad we are just friends. That's all" I said assuring him. But tiny voice inside me has started calling me a liar already.
"Kiddo, I was kidding. And even if you did, I just had to make sure he is a good boy. And yes you can go tomorrow" Dad said smiling.
"Thank you Dad. And if I feel otherwise you will know about it" I said.
Dad smiled and nodded.
I looked over at mom. And she just said "Honey, you can go. Just be safe"
