The first day of June. I've been here for 2 weeks and my back was already feeling like it would break any minute now. Turns out Emily was right. Blake was mean. Real mean. It's like i'm his new target because everytime i'm at the restaurant and he's always there.

"Oh my gosh look isn't Blake good?" Emily says beside me. We're hanging out at the beach. My mom made me go because to her i've been 'inside' ever since i've been here. Emily and i were just laying on the beach and she was spying on the guys surfing. I have to say they were actually really good. Even better than California surfers.

I told Emily about what Cassandra said and she acted like she didn't even cared. She still wears bikinis and has a high self esteem. Unlike me. I don't even know why Emily even wants to be friends with me. Nate's been apologizing to me ever since the incident at the restaurant but it seems that he hasn't really told Blake anything because he's still bullying me.

I was in a large t- shirt and you could see my bikini through it but you couldn't really see it clearly. Emily keeps telling me to take it off and get a tan with her. Does she not know that tans can lead to skin cancer?

Suddenly i caught sight of Blake and Nate coming towards us.

Nate grinned at me, "Hey Charlie what's hiding under that shirt that no one can know about?" i saw Blake smirk and wink at me. Ok so he's not mad at me now? This guy is so confusing. One moment he's glaring at me like he wants to kill me and the next minute he's smirking at me?

"Nothing that you need to know about." i replied. Nate rolled his eyes, "come on Charlie i thought you were from California. You're suppose to be tanner than any of us." I sighed and shook my head. Why does everyone think that everyone in California have tans and swim like almost everyday?

I rolled my eyes, "just because i live in California doesn't mean i actually go to the beach. Now what about you? Why don't you join a surfing competition or something. You're really good."It was true i was trying to change the subject but ididn'twant anyone to see me in only my bikini. He shrugged, "there's isn't taht much competition here in Georgia so me and Blake just stopped entering."

I nodded. All this reminded me of Soul Surfer. That's why i never go into the water. I'm so scared that there could be a shark out there just waiting for me so it can bite off my arm. I seriously don't know how i can use just one arm the rest of my life.

"Hey if you're so interested in surfing maybe i could teach you how to." Nate suggested. That was a great idea but that would mean me having me to take off my shirt and everyone seeing me a bikini. I was lucky enough that someone actually wanted to be my friend. If they see me in a bikini they wouldn't even want to come near me.

I shook my head, "um no thanks." I said. Nate faked sad. Then he shook his head, "well i guess if that's what you want." Wow he's actually a good actor. He looked so sad and if i didn't know him i'd believe he was for real. Emily shook her head, "just cause you took acting classonce doesn't mean you can fool Charlie with that fake face."

His sad face instantly turned toa happyface, "well fine i guess i'll just have to trow away all your smoothies." Emily looked at him with shockness, "you wouldn't." He winked at me and smirked, "wanna bet?"

They raced each other away from the beach. The beach was actually really close to their store. The bad part about that was that they left me with Blake. 'DON'T LEAVE ME WITH THIS JERK.' i wanted to yell. I was laughing the whole time. Emily was kicking and hitting Nate while he just kept running like it had no effect on him.

When i turned back to Blake, i realized that he was staring at me. His eyes were buring into mine. It was like he was trying to set me on fire with his eyes. I started paying with a strand of hair. My hair was probably all tangled due to the wind. It wasn't that windy but my curls were very easy to tangle.
