David's mom had left Uncle Sam's house much to the chagrin of her son's.
"Do you think she will be okay?" David had asked his uncle.
"David your mom is not a child, she knows what is good for herself" he had answered.
It was the last week of February; exams were just around the corner.
SS3 class had started their mock exams so the principal had demanded utter tranquility within the school.
Ms. Charity had arrived to dish out the does and don'ts in preparation for the final term exams.
"Exams will commence within weeks please read up" she urged the class.
"No more Friday runways" she continued, focusing her eyes on Faith who blushed.
"Social gatherings will now be strictly quizzes from your curriculum, David please take note"
At this, the class had started murmuring, but Ms. Charity carried on nonetheless.
"All sporting activities will be suspended including football"
"What?!!" The boys cried in unison.
"Ma" Victor cried "that's like taking away our life"
"Indeed" David concurred
"Surely, you didn't mean it" Essien added
All the boys kept trying to make Ms. Charity see reason not to stop football, even Faith and her crew joined in the appeal, but she remained adamant.
"Save your spit lads and lassies, these restrictions remain" she finished. The class all backed down, they knew this was a lost cause especially with a person like Ms. Charity.
