•*•The fathers POV•*•

Something was very wrong. I had a hunch since she came back to us but I didn't think anything of it. I thought I was being irrational and stupid.

The boys and I were down stairs after dinner. We all
sat on the couch after Raven went up to bed. We had all noticed how little she eats and how small she is. We were thinking about getting her checked out by a doctor. She barely ate.

We were cut off by a loud scream that was no doubt Ravens. We immediately bolted out of our seats. With our career we never know what could be happening. We run the Italian mafia. Raven doesn't know but we will have to tell her soon. We just don't know how she would react.

We all looked at each other before I had them rushing to get our guns. We ran up the stairs, straight to her room with weapons in hand.

I shoved the door open looking for her in her big room. She laid in her king bed. What was wrong?

She then screamed again. "STOP" She screamed as loud as I think she could. She had tears running down her face, sobbing. I've never seen her cry. This was bad.

She was shaking violently. I quickly went to her side attempting to wake her up. When it didn't work her brothers tried the same. Everyone was panicked trying to help her.

"Raven you got to wake up, it's a dream." We tried.

She began to scratch her neck, hurting herself as she shook more.

We had to stop her, she was hurting herself. "Quick grab her legs" I yelled as I grabbed her arms, pinning them down.

Her neck was left red with nail marks from her scratching.

She needed to wake up from what was happening.

A few seconds later, her eyes bolted open. She tried to get away from us as if she didn't know us. When she realized who we were, I sat on the bed next to her. She immediately cuddled into my arms, sobbing into my shirt.

I wrapped my arms around her, attempting to comfort her.

The boys all looked at her with worry. Even though she's only been here for a few days she has already changed our family for the good. Will, believe it or not, used to be a lot worse. He would go out and party till the sun came up. He wouldn't talk to anyone, he was like that since Raven was taken.

Ryan, Ravens twin, didn't remember Raven but he felt that something was missing. He struggled before she got here. I know how happy he is now that she is back. Everyone has seen the difference.

After Raven left, the house didn't feel like home anymore. Our little girl was missing. Everyone felt it. Raven was our baby girl. Now that she's back, I know everyone is trying to protect her.

Will began to freak out. "That was not a nightmare! She looked like she was having a seizure."

I just focused on Raven in my arms while the other boys told him to settle down.

He can't control his temper at times.

Raven soon stopped crying. When she sat up, we all asked if she was okay.

She stared off into space, thinking probably.
Something switched in her and her eyes turned emotionless and cold. She didn't even look at us when she said "i'm fine."

We all knew she was anything but fine.

We were going to find out what was going on soon.

Very soon.

Raven POV:
•*•*•*•

My family wasn't clueless anymore. They knew something was wrong. I wouldn't just be screaming like that for no reason. I didn't know how much longer it would be until they found out.

I don't want their pity or for them to walk around like they are on egg shells. I wold put off talking about it for as long as I could.

I just want to be Raven, not done pitied broken girl.

There is no doubt that they would treat me different after.

I'm fine.

The more you tell yourself, the more you believe it right?

I forced them all out of my room. Literally.

After pushing them my ribs started to hurt badly. I laid back on my bed and just stared at the ceiling. I wouldn't be sleeping for the rest of the night.

It was 3:00am when I woke up from the dream. Soon the sun would be coming up.

I laid there until I saw the small spread of pink come in through my window. I walked over to the glass and looked at the sky.

The orange, pink, and light blue all mixed together beautifully, like a painting in the sky.

Before my mom became a druggie and abusive she used to tell me I was as pretty as the sunrise. She loved the sunrise.

She would wake up right before it happened and come to my room to get me. We would sit outside in the grass and watch the sky change colors.

"That's how you start a good day" she would say as the sky slowly made its way to blue. We would sit there for over 30 minutes just enjoying ourselves. I would lay cuddled into her warm side when the crisp morning air would make goosebumps arise on my skin.

I enjoyed time with my mom.

Soon after that, everything went to shit.

Sorry for the delay.

I wasn't really sure what to put in this chapter. It is more like a filler for what's to come.

I figured I would give you a bit of insight on what her mom was like before.

I hope you enjoyed.
