Jax and I had a really good time.
In school he was so serious, he would only ever smile near me. Now that we were at the dinner he was completely different. He was laughing and we joked around.
It seemed like a weigh had been lifted off of his shoulders as he laughed with me.
We ended up having a contest to see who could finish our burger first. Of course he won, he literally scarfed it down.
We sat there for hours on end. When we finally decided to leave, he helped me out of the booth. I had to use the restroom so I told him I would meet him at his bike.
He walked out the door as I went down a small hallway to the bathroom. After doing my business, I washed my hands and walked out.
I was getting ready to walk out the door but Lily's voice stopped me.
"Raven" I turned around to see her face. She stood there with her husband.
"Yes" I smiled at them.
"I just wanted to say thank you" tears began to gather in her eyes.
Thank you? Why was she saying thank you?
"What for?" I asked confused.
"I haven't seen Jax smile like that or look that happy in years. He's lucky to have you." My heart warmed at her words.
"I think I'm the one who's lucky. Jax is one of a kind" I said using the words I heard Jax say earlier. There was no better way of explaining it.
"I hope we will see you soon" she waves to me as I walk out the door.
"I hope so too" I smiled
Today had turned into something unexpected. It was now dark outside. We were there a long time. I still had two hours until I needed to be home.
When I reached his bike, he sat on the seat holding the helmet for me.
"You okay?" he asked probably wondering what took so long.
"Never better" I smiled as he stuck the helmet on my head.
"There is one more spot I want to take you" He helped me get on the bike.
He then drove off into the night. The feeling was back. I felt free. Spending time with Jax was slowly turning into one of my favorite things to do.
I was a bit nervous, I have trust issues so I don't know how things would play out between us. Somehow ive been normal with him. Something about his presence is comforting to me.
We soon pulled onto a dirt road. It was a pretty short trail that lead us to and open area. He helped me off the bike and opened his bike seat, taking out a blanket.
"Come on" he grabbed my hand, leading me to the center of the open area.
He laid the blanket out and laid down on it with his arms behind his head. He sighed in content. I then sat down next to him and laid back so our heads were next to each other.
We stared at each other for a moment before he said "look up"
I looked up and I felt myself gasp. The sky was littered with stars. It was beautiful. It was the most amount of stars i've seen in the sky.
I felt Jax staring at me. I turned back to face him.
"It's beautiful. How did you find this." I asked breathless.
"My brother showed me. He's two years older then us. When I was younger we would try and get out of the house as much as possible" His tone got sad as he looked up at the sky.
I grabbed his hand and squeezed it, letting him know i'm here. I know in times like this all you want is to know someone is with you.
"This is my favorite place to come think. I've never brought anyone here before" He said quietly.
"I'm happy you brought me here. Thank you so much for today. I have the most fun i've had in a while." I smiled at him. I've smiled more with him then I think I have in the past 5 years.
"I had fun too" He whispered, looking into my eyes.
It got quiet for a moment as I saw his eyes trail down to my lips.
He hesitated for a moment, looking back into my eyes for permission.
I nodded lightly. His lips were then on mine. They were soft and warm. They molded with mine perfectly.
It started off slow and emotional. My hands went to the side of his face as I sat up so I was higher then him.
He pulled me closer so I was on top of him. I straddled his abdomen as his hands were in my waist.
My hands then went to his hair. It became more passionate and I never wanted to stop.
*RING* *RING*
We quickly separated as the sound made us jump, snapping us out of our moment. I grabbed my phone off the blanket and it was my father.
"Shit" I cursed as I saw the name come across the screen.
"Hello?" I said.
"I've decided I want you home now" He said sternly.
I sighed.
"Fine. Bye" I said angrily in the phone. He was probably nervous thinking about what we could have been doing all day. Hehe.
"Sorry that was my dad. He wants me home now" I ran my fingers through my hair.
Jax laid on his side, leaning up on his arm. I sat on my knees in front of him.
"Thank you for today." I said again.
"No problem princess." He then put his hand on the side of my face pulling me in for another kiss.
"We better get going before your dad and brothers have my head" He laughs
"Yeah that would not be good" I helped him fold the blanket.
He put his arm over my shoulder, leading me back to the bike.
I didn't want tonight to end.
