My dreams about the Captain, even though we were now 'dating', could not have been more provocative. I groaned in frustration as my eyes opened, my body covered in sweat because of another wet dream. I looked over to the side where Steve lay fast asleep, his arm over his head, and his mouth slightly agape.
He was so sexy and I was well...a person. And I knew that my insecurities were now getting to me, playing out various scenarios in my head as to why Steve asked me to be his girlfriend. He was right, we had only known each other for a little over 3 days, but didn't people who went on blind dates do the same thing?
I didn't know why, but I felt this connection to him, like a string tying us together and hurting if we stretched it apart too much. It was like he had come back here for me, I wasn't complaining, but from all the beautiful women, his age, he chose me. Me, an insecure, average-looking 17-year-old female.
I cringed at the awkwardness, why in the world would he choose me? "Because you aren't like anyone else I've met. I feel a connection with you, I need to be near you otherwise it hurts. It's like we're keeping each other alive, sustaining one another." I stared at him mumbling and rambling, "You asked that out loud." He said and I whispered oh, nodding.
"Everyone has insecurities, don't let them get to you. You're honestly the most beautiful person I've ever seen, I really want to be with you." I smiled in the dark, "Ok." I whispered. He pulled me snug against him as I cuddled into his warm embrace. My head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat, my arms around his waist, and my legs entangled with his.
He pressed a kiss to the top of my head mumbling something about sleep and school and I let out a small, short laugh before obeying my Captain and going to sleep.
The alarm blared out and I sighed trying to hit it. I moved my things into this room, deciding that if I was going to sleep here every night, I might as well move my stuff. Steve stirred beside me, mumbling angrily, "Get that alarm, Jesus." I shook my head smiling, "Some avenger you are, can't even handle an alarm." He growled and I laughed, quickly turning off the alarm.
I heard my mother's angry footsteps and knocks on the door. "Oh my God, Steve get up." I hissed, "My mother's outside." Steve got up, "I'm your boyfriend, your mother should meet me." I could tell he was teasing and I frowned at him. "No time, get out," I whispered yelled and he chuckled, quickly kissing my cheek before bouncing off into the balcony and down the fire escape.
I opened the door, smiling uneasily at my mother, "Hey mom, what's up?" She frowned at me, "Did you move your things in here?" I nodded, "Uh yeah, most of the time I work really late since it's senior year and whatnot. So I decided to sleep here." Her teeth clenched as she stared at my unmade bed, "Did you ask me first?" I stared at her, unbelieving, I was fucking 17, practically an adult. I sighed loudly, "No mother, I did not. Should I ask you now?" She nodded, satisfied at my request, "Can I move in here?" She shook her head, "No." I stared at her open-mouthed, trying to decipher whether she was joking or serious, but my mother never joked around.
"Mother, so that I don't bother you and Faaz while doing my homework late at night, don't you think I should move in this room?" She bit her lip, thinking over the request, mainly only because I mentioned my younger brother Faaz in it. "Fine." She nodded. I sighed in relief about to close the door when she held my wrist, I turned around to look at her. She was looking at the floor, biting her lip again, "I...well...Faaz and I would like to spend more time with you. You've been so busy lately, we barely see you. Remember game night? We should start that again."
My face softened at her words, "Sure ma." I said, pressing a kiss to her cheek as she did the same to mine. She left me to be, closing the door as I started to get ready for the school day.
