         Here I was thinking that I would be able to just move on but I had finally realized it I would never get over Jess and it sucked because I knew how much he liked me but here I was at his room door ready to tell him I couldn't do this anymore I quickly knock and he answers immediately smiling at me "Lena what are you doing here" I rushed into the room and he shuts the door and turns to me
"what's wrong-" I cut him off "Look Ethan I care about you I do but-" he cuts me off now
"You're still in love with him" he finished and I nod sadly I could see the pain in his eyes but he just sighed and sat on the bed I take a seat next to him "I don't think I ever stopped" I whisper and he sighed again getting up and playing with his hair "he went after you Lena" he states and I look up at him confused "he went after you the day of the auditions but" he cuts himself off sitting next to me and taking my hands in his, "I told him to back off I told him you needed someone who would be there and he agreed that I could be that person for you!-" I cut him off quickly rising out of my seat angrily "so let me get this straight you told Jess to leave so you could have me all to yourself ?" He shakes his head I know what he really meant but it sucked to know I was really close to having Jess back "no Lena you both know you're bad for each other right now he knew just as much as I did that you needed someone who would actually be their he wanted you to be happy even if he was miserable" he explains and I shake my head Jess put aside his feelings for me so that I could be happy "Ethan I know why you did what you did and I appreciate it but-" he cuts me off "yeah read the book didn't you I knew you'd find out eventually" he says and I look at him confused "Ethan what book?" I ask he sighed "he wrote a book called loving Lena about you and him" he explained and I looked at him now angry was he writing a diss book about me that's so childish "I-" pause picking up my stuff and getting ready to leave "I need to go" I start to head towards the door but he grabs my arm "Friends?" He questions I nod and he lets my arm go as I walked out of the frat house alone

"Where the fuck is he!" I yelled as I entered the gallery his roommates looked scared they already knew who I was how I didn't know but they pointed upstairs And I stomped my way up the stairs and swung the apartment door open to see an empty living room "Jess Mariano!" I yelled and he came running out of a room I assumed was his "Selena what are you-" I cut him off angrily "no my turn to talk Jess whatever the fuck you're middle name is Mariano!" He flinched at my tone "you walked out on us remember you don't get to come back a week into my college classes and ask me to run away with you it's not fair to me!" I turned around to cross my arms and then I turn to face him again "then you get mad when I refuse I just started Collage Jess I have dreams I can't just give it all up for you!" I try to stop the tears flooding my eyes and surprising it working
"And then you show up at the auditions I don't even know why you showed up but then you leave you to leave because you wanted me to be happy but it seems like everyone has a say in what's right for me except for me!" I was practically in tears at this point he tried to reach for me and I pulled away "and then you write a book about me about us why Jess to talk about everything I did wrong well bullshit I'm not doing this with you anymore Mariano I'll walk out right now and quote what you said that ruined our chance at happiness maybe we just weren't built to last" then I walked out

She left in such a hurry I didn't get to tell her my phone rang and I picked up and noticed it was my editor "Jess you have two weeks they moved the tour to earlier" he explains I nod sighing as I hung up I let her walk out again I let her walk away from me the love of my life the girl I wanted to marry the girl who I wanted to have my children someday and I let her walk away I turned to the book picked it up and checked it across the room angrily that was until I heard a knock on the door I looked up and saw Camille and Katerina they both had their arms crossed "if you come to yell at me you're daughter already-" Camille cut me off shushing me so Katerina could speak "Selena doesn't know we're here Mariano" she explains and she snapped her finger for me to sit and I did "you know just as well as I do that you and Lena are made for each other" she paused walking over to the table Camille following her actions "so why aren't you going for it kid!" Camille snapped and I slammed my hand on the table "it's not simple-" Katerina shushed me walking up to me and slapping me across the face swiftly my head turns from the impact and I don't dare meet her deadly gaze
"The hell it is!" She says through gritted teeth she crouch down and got in my face "you do realize who you're talking too right I know what it means for something to not be simple and yet still" she turns to Camille who blows a small kiss her way "I had the balls to go after it even when the world was against me and look at me now beautiful daughter beautiful wife" she explained Camille walked over to her and place a hand on her shoulder "I know you Love my daughter Jess you might love her in a way I never can" she explains and I nod at this I knew I loved Lena but I wasn't so sure she loved me back "we came here for a reason kid" Camille adds Katerina gets up and it's now Camilles turns to tower over me "get the girl before you go on that book tour-" I try to ask her how she knows about it "Rory snitched" Katerina says and I nod that sounds like her "you have out blessing and now" she placed her hand in her pocket and pulled out a light purple velvet box "you have Our Engagement ring" Katerina cuts in and I'm in awe it was beautiful I looked up at them in shock were they asking me to purpose to their daughter "Lenas wanted this thing ever since she was 2 and now she can have it because she found someone who loves her" she glances at Camille and back at me "like how I love Camille" she hands me the box and the walk towards the door to leave "don't blow it this time" they say
