The next morning, you were sitting in the living room watching the news. A villian attack had acquired during the early morning. It had been close to the apartment. So the news were chaotic as the hero who usually patrols the area was in the middle of fighting, when hawks whose area was far had suddenly appeared and taken down the villian.

Everyone asked him why since he normally sticks to his area near his own agency. The camera was pointed at him talking to the other pro hero as people surrounded them.

"Hero hawks! Why did you suddenly drop by?",asked the reporter as she held the microphone towards his face

Hawks gave his easy going smile,"I just happened to be flying by",he then turned to the camera,"Hey songbird!", he then winked

You couldn't help the smile that creeped onto your face.

"Pfft that idiot",you giggled, as he grinned at the camera, the feather he'd gifted you casually floating around you.

"Whose songbird?!",the women exclaimed excitedly at the chance of some drama

"Time for me to clock out",hawks then saluted the camera and flew off leaving the question unanswered.

You rolled your eyes, and kept watching at they replayed the fight. You enjoyed watching him on the news, not to mention his side job besides being a hero, was modeling. You loved seeing how people appreciated him and showed him the admiration he deserved...but there were some to many girls who wanted to show him a bit to much admiration.

You'd tried hard to surpress these feelings of jealousy that consumed you. He was constantly checking on you, talking to you, asking for you to the point he made it hard to doubt his loyalty. Yet your mind always found ways to trick you into the worst. You were allowed to feel these emotions, you are human after all but it felt wrong. He was out there working hard to be doubted.

"I'm an idiot",you sighed as you glanced down at your leg, you tried to hide it but it was getting hard to with the nice summer weather approaching.

You wore pants and jeans with purpose to hide your disappearing body, but with the heat steadily growing you were a sweaty mess. It wouldn't be to soon before hawks caught on to you. For now however you wanted things to remain how they were.

You sighed, not to mention inko had been very sorry when she found out you'd been attacked after leaving her house. She felt it was her fault for letting you leave so late at night. You still visited her but now Deku would walk you home. You couldn't help but smile at the memory on how nervous Deku had been and only loosened up when you asked about All Might.

You were currently washing the pots and pans you'd used to make dinner, when you realized you were running out of some things. You decided a quick trip to the market wouldn't be so bad. Putting on a your hawks jacket, grabbing keys and money, you headed out. The market store at most was a ten minute walk from the place so it wouldn't be a long trip. Suddenly loud commotion made you glance around and you realized why. Hawks it seemed was patrolling today, so people were eager to talk to him. You noticed a kid next to him, and You realized who it was. Tokoyami You watched with a sense of pride for the both of them. You smiled in his general direction but kept walking. Sure you wanted to go up to him but he was working.

Suddenly squealing and giggling made you turn and you sure wish you hadn't. A girl was clinging to his neck as she held her phone out for a picture. It was obvious what she was trying to get at as she pressed her chest against him. He was obviously uncomfortable, wings puffed up and his hands were behind his back. Tokoyamis was visibly frowning at this, and seemed to be speaking to the girl who ignored him and continued with what she was doing. Hawks slowly pushed her off and seemed to be speaking, when she suddenly through herself at him and pecked his cheek sending everyone around in a frenzy. You had, had enough, as you stormed over.

Hawks stood baffled, his wings were even more puffed up but not of embarassment or shyness. He didn't have time to register what had happened as suddenly the girl was thrown down. His eyes widened and he turned to see you. With an expression he hadn't seen you have before. Anger pure raw anger was evident in your features, as you stared at the girl who was barely registering what happened.

"Ma'am",Tokoyami spoke,"please calm down."

"What the hell?!",the girl exclaimed as she stood up

"How dare you kiss him",you spoke through clenched teeth,"Don't you know personal space?!"

"Hey calm down its ok",hawks tried reassuring you but you evaded him soully focused on the girl.

"What is it to you?!",the girl yelled back as she took a step forward

"I'm-!",you stopped your relationship was public only his agency knew so you didn't have right, it wasn't until then that you realized all the phone cameras pointed at you.

"You're what?! Huh?! Speak up!",the girl screamed angrily

"She my girlfriend",hawks stepped in covering you with his wing from the prying cameras,"I'm sorry Lady but you really shouldn't kiss a taken man."

The girl stared baffled,"You're kidding...right? How was I suppose to know..?",she looked towards tbe crowd of people as if expecting them to back her up

"So you'd kiss a random man just because?",you pointed out from under his wing, but you made your hand visible as you wrapped them around him.

You were petty, and you were about to show this girl how petty you could get. Peaking under his wing where she could see you, you leaned your head on him. And wrapped your arms tighter around him. Watching her face contort in anger and seeing her face flush was amusing. It didn't help her as hawks seemed to catch on as her wrapped an arm around your waist.

"Tell me songbird, shouldn't you be at our apartment?"

"Yeah but I needed something for dinner tonight",you responded casually.

"Be careful its a dangerous world out there",he chuckled as he gave you a slow kiss on your forehead, up until now he didn't kiss you on the lips saying he wanted to do it on a special moment. You weren't sure when that moment would come but you could wait.
