He remained awake, listening to the beeping of the machine from your heart beats. The door opened to reveal a doctor, he didn't bother addressing him. But hawks watched his actions, as the doctor checked the time and your wires. The doctor seemed to mumbling to himself as he flipped through his papers, it wasn't until the doctor reached over to touch you did hawks jump up grabbing his wrist stopping him from further approaching you.

"Don't touch her",Hawks growled out to the scared looking doctor

"S-Sorry sir but I need to verify something",he stuttered out not expecting to be jumped by him

"Whatever needs to be done I'll do it",hawks grumbled as he released him, he had promised no other male would touch you

"Would you mind pulling the covers off her legs?",he asked cautiously

Hawks only eyed him as he did so, when he did his eyes widened. Your legs were gone, but as he focused he realized they werent gone they were just fading. He placed his hand gently on them. He could feel them but it was just to hard to see.

"You see, she's fine but it doesnt seem to be the affects of a quirk",the doctor explained as he examined your legs writing it down..

"Leave it, that's how defensive mechanism",hawks replied as he covered you,"Now that thats out of the way...leave",the doctor wasted no time as he scrambled out.

He sighed as he let his body sag against the couch. He wanted to know but he didn't want to pressure you into telling him anything you didn't want too.

"Keigo..",you soft voice interrupted his thoughts as he jumped to your side

"I'm here..",he coed softly taking your hands in his,"How are you feeling?"

You grimaced as you laughed softly,"Horrible..."

"That's understandable...",he replied smiling softly,"You're strong kid."

"You think?"

"Of course, look how far you've made it."

That's right as long as you were besides him, he couldn't care what you hid.

"I'm hungry",you mumbled as you sat up glancing around the hospital room,"but I'm more scared."

"Nobody is going to touch you here",he was quick to reply as his wings puffed up

"Keigo...I kept thinking we had time left but I almost...",you took a deep breath

"We do, we've got time",he chirped in as he turned his gaze towards the window, his vocie trembling,"We'll go out to another park. I'll take you on late night flights. We'll have a home together. I'll protect you, and you...you'll Stay...here with-".

"I can't!",you chocked out,"I'm leaving hawks, I-I can't stay much longer."shakingly you showed him your fading leg,"I don't belong here Keigo, I'm fading into nothing "

"That's just temporary we can get recovery girl to-",his eyes were wude and frantic as he desperately searched for an answer, finally his wings fell.

"I'm sorry."

"Where are you leaving...?",he asked softly as he pressed your palm to his cheek

"There's so much..",you replied as you felt the slight stubs on his chin and cheek.

And so you spent the afternoon telling him about your family, where you lived. How you'd came to know about him. The days you were sure would be your last and how he kept you going. He remained quiet even as you explained the part of falling into the lake and waking up in the hospital. Switching into reality whenever you slept and hearing their calls for you.

"I assumed I'd go back eventually when I chose to but I never expected for there to be a time line",you explained as the afternoon orange sky lit your room giving it a warm soft glow

"You can say what you want kid, if we met it was for a reason. After you're discharged let's have fun. Just the two of us",he spoke his eyes meeting yours as he wiped a tear away from your face,"So smile kid."

"Okay",you replied.

Everything was happening so fast, it seemed as if yesterday when you had met this winged man. You embraced him, feeling his warmth and his wings wrap themselves around you.

Shit...It had barely dawned on you how much you'd grown to depend on him.

You had varies visits from police offciers as well as other pro heroes for questioning. It surprised you when inko burst through the door followed by Deku.

"I'm so glad you're ok",she spoke as he wiped her tears away

"Yes if it hadn't been for Midoriya, I wouldn't be here",you replied giving him a smile

"I-I didn't do much",he replied embarrassed

Hawks wasn't in the room as He felt you needed a moment with your guests. That didn't mean he wasn't standing outside the door ready to burst in at the slightest hint of you being in discomfort. You smiled at Inko, she'd shown you the unconditional feeling of a mother's love. You gave her a tight hug before she left, she turned one last time.

"You'll come over for tea right?",she asked giving you her signature warm smile

You choked back a sob as you nodded,"Of course."

Her face softened as if she knew, she turned and left closing the door behind her gently. Tears overflowed you, you were mad at yourself for crying so much, but you couldn't help it not when you had grown so attached to them.

A week passed when you were finally able to go home, hawks had bought a new house a nice complex one. Not to big but not to small just the adequate size for you both. It took a while before you could go outside, out of fear and hawk's reprimed you from doing anything. There were nights where you found yourself laying awake, Keigo besides you his wings wrapped around you.

But still in the safety of his company you layed wide awake, there were time you could feel the faint ghost trails of there hands holding you down. Making you wake up in a cold sweat, heavily breathing. The doctors had mentioned possible PTSD but you had shrugged it aside, you hadn't realized how bad it was. That same night you found yourself in the living watching a late night show, the volume down as to not wake up Keigo. Your eyes drooped but still sleep didn't come, until a hand gently touched your shoulder.

"What are you doing baby bird?",Keigo yawned out,"Its 2 in the morning."

"I can't sleep",you replied softly touching his messy hair,"Go to sleep you have patrol early."

"Screw it, you're more important",he replied as he sat besides you, pulling you into his lap, into the comfort of his arms

You remained like that for the rest of the night. Neither of you moving or saying anything, simply enjoying the warmth of each other's body.
