*Elisa's POV*
After we had gotten into our squads, and arranged ourselves back into the formation I saw a green flare, signaling that everyone was to start moving.
"You ready Elisa?" Hanji asked me with an excited look on her face.
"I think," I responded nervously, looking around at my other squad members and feeling kind of insignificant compared to them.
"You'll be just fine," She told me, looking straight ahead, still smiling.
"If you say so..." I mumbled, readjusting the cape around my neck.
After about two hours of riding and nothing really happening I finally noticed a red flare go up to my right.
"Squad leader! Red flare to our right!" The man whose name I heard was Moblit called out to notify Hanji.
"Send it up Moblit!" She responded, and Moblit fired the round straight up into the air.
After a few minutes, and several other red flares, we finally spotted the green flare from Erwin, and it was aimed to the left, so we turned left.
After another long period of continuous manoeuvering left and right to avoid the titans, only one or two black flares ever going up, I felt the ground starting to shake, meaning that there was a titan running quite close to us. I saw a blur of pink and red a few kilometers to the left of us, and then I saw a horse go flying and the rider was only a few feet behind it. Then I felt the thumping get closer and closer until there was a titan that was about ten meters tall running a few yards to our right, and it kept getting closer.
"Hanji!" I called out with panic in my voice.
"Fire a black flare Elisa!" She told me, and I hurriedly fumbled with my flare gun, and pointed it straight into the air and pulled the trigger.
