Unbroken promises

*Elisa's POV*

*Time jump, Graduation day*

I found out that I had gotten eleventh, and I probably would've done better if people weren't so scared of me, but Marco did get top ten, seventh actually, and I'm happy for him. Marco's dream was to join the Military Police and protect the king, which is good, but it mans that I'll lose my first and only friend.

"There are three branches you can choose from! The Survey Corps, the Stationary Guard, and the Military Police! Only the top ten in front of you are able to apply for the Military Police, and those people are standing in front of you all!" Commander Keith finished his speech, then dismissed us.

"Good job Marco," I congratulated him as he walked up to me, putting a friendly arm over my shoulder.

"Why so glum?" Marco sounded concerned.

"It's nothing, it sounds selfish now that I think of it," I said back, shaking my head.

"Well, we have to go help with the cannons on top of the wall at Trost," He told me, and we set off towards our stations.

*Time jump, on top of wall rose*

We've been just loading up the cannons, making sure they work and all that, kind of boring, but that's why I'm joining the Survey Corps.

"Hey, look what I got," I turned to see Sasha holding her jacket on one side, a weird kind of smile on her face.

"Where did you get that?!" Someone gasped, looking at the meat that was concealed in her jacket.

"It's from the officers pantry," She said gleefully.

'She's gonna get herself killed,' I sighed, getting back to work, not really paying attention until people started asking for some, and once everyone got some, they got back to work.

BOOM

"The Colossal Titan's back!" Someone shouted, just as we were all blown off the side of the wall, and hooked ourselves on just in time.

"Samuel!" Someone shouted, and I saw a boy plummeting to his death, and get saved by Sasha who was running down the wall.

"Don't move!" She shouted down to the boy after she shot one of the cables into his ankle.

"Did you get it?!" Someone shouted up at Eren.

"No! It disappeared just like five years ago!" Eren shouted back.

"The titans are getting in!" Someone shouted.

'No, not again,' I felt my face drain of all colour, fear taking over me as the memories from five years ago came flashing in my mind.

"No!" Shouted out loud, releasing my cords from the wall and plummeting downwards, hooking onto the back of a titan and killing it.

'Whoa, it feels so much more different on a real titan,' I stared at the titan blood evaporating on my blades.

*Time jump, defending Trost*

I was lucky enough to be put in Marco's squad, and lucky enough to be put as second in command. Squad 19 was almost like a well oiled machine, whenever a titan was spotted, the person closest to it would kill it, then come back to the group.
