Roman Sanders One-shots

Why?

Ay, another EAH AU. 

Roman stood on the Legacy day podium. Bright lights shone and reflected off of the golden details of his outfit.

He hesitantly grabbed the quill in his shaking hand, seeing his story flip through his pages, and he caught glimpses of Virgil's own destiny throughout them. 

His hand wouldn't stop shaking. His shaking hand dropped the quill. 

Virgil looked at him strangely. So did the princess who was supposedly his 'true love'.

"I'll be back!" He muttered, fleeing the podium and hearing the gasps from the audience.

He rubbed furiously at the brimming tears. 

Why was he upset?

He would have a happy ending.

He would have a happy life and maybe just die from an illness or something.

But he didn't want that, did he?

No.

So what did he want?

He tripped over and scraped his knees.

Where was he?

He picked himself up and shivered at the cold night air. 

His warm breath steamed the cold air.

He took in a shuddering breath, and inspected his scratched knees and the rough dirt beneath his boots.

He walked aimlessly until he saw the shadow of the Headmaster.

"Thank Good Witch!" He yelped, running towards the headmaster.

"Roman White! What in Ever After were you thinking?!" He bellowed, and the prince felt fear tug his gut.

"I really wasn't, I apologise, Headmaster!

The headmaster gripped Roman's wrist and practically dragged him to the podium.

Murmurs rippled through the crowd and Roman White stood in front of the Storybook of Legends once again.

Before he was about to sign he, much to the surprise of Virgil, he stared Virgil dead in the eye and mouthed,

'Do you want this?'

Roman saw the no Virgil gave back. 

The headmaster shot Roman and Virgil a withering look.

He gripped the quill.

Why was this so hard?

He messily signed it.

Sometimes he wished that he was the younger twin.

And for the whole year only one question echoed in his head.

'Why did you sign?'

Woop that's done. This was supposed to be 2-3 parts but I decided if I did that, I would end up writing a whole fanfiction and oh boy I'm not creatively motivated enough for it-
