TW: injury, blood, nightmare mentions

Roman grunted grumpily as Mariel bandaged his wound.

"I keep telling Elphaba to go easy on you but each time you always come back with injuries that would be life-threatening if you weren't a figment of Thomas' imagination." She huffed, her usually calm composure slipping into a sort of mother figure's personality.

"It's no fun without the life-threatening injuries, though!" Roman whined, letting her bandage his arm.

She glared and him and he snickered.

"Since you obviously don't have a grip on what's healthy and what's not, I'm giving you one of my fox's kits."

"Why?"

"They have special abilities, like deception detectors and also they're good for when you're feeling down."

"I don't feel down-"

The fox resting at Mariel's feet glared at him with its magnificent green eyes.

The fairy godmother raised an eyebrow and Roman pouted.

He ended up with a small fluffy fox kit when he came back to his room.

Roman shot up from his bed once again. The creativity of his room was enhancing his nightmares again.

M.M (Maid Marian) snuggled her way under his arm, her green eyes glittering with concern.

"Sorry for waking you Marian, I had a nightmare." He whispered softly, stroking her to calm himself down.

When he fell asleep again, the nightmares had evaporated into a sweet dream.

All that could be heard now from outside his room was a person and a fox kit softly breathing in sync.
