Patton was getting worried. He waited for a second in front of Roman's door before knocking.

"Kiddo?"

Muffled voices. One sounded female, though Patton couldn't see how that could be possible.

"Roman? Buddy?"

Silent footsteps to the door.

The door wasn't opened by Roman though. It was a tall woman looking over her shoulder. She wore a red dress with ornamental glasswing butterflies decorated on it.

"Hello there, Morality-"

"Patton..."

"-Patton. Sure. I've come to assist Romu-Roman, to explain...that" She gestured vaguely at Roman glitching from a strange but similar outfit to his usual.

"Is he okay?!" He almost yelled, eyes widening.

"Repression. It's been building up because of repression." She said vaguely, and Patton wondered why she was so vague about her wording.

Roman half-stumbled to the door, giving a weak smile, before being whacked at the back of the head by the lady.

"Stop repressing! Butterflies!" She exasperated, while Roman winced.  It took a moment for Patton to figure out the 'Butterflies' was a substitute swear.

"Hey Padre, you might want to call the other sides for this,I don't think I have the energy to repeat it twice.

Patton summoned the other sides in a hurry. They all appeared disgruntled.

"Whoa- Is Roman okay? Who's the tall chick?"

Remus smiled cheerfully, "Glass Chick!"

The lady straightened in indignance. "My name is Mariel."

Roman shuddered as he glitched again.

"SobasicallyIusedtobeadarksidebutforsomereasonIchangedIdon'tknowwhybutrepressionmakesitworsesouhmyeahIusedtobeInsecurity-"

Mariel sighed at the quizzical faces.

"He used to be one of 'the others' as I like to call them. He was Insecurity and he changed for reasons I cannot fathom, but it was probably a natural process of giving him equal control over Creativity as his brother."

"Wait- he was Romulus?" Virgil asked, gobsmacked.

Roman rolled his eyes, the glitching fading.

"Yes, Snow Fight-or-Flight, what did you think happened to me?"

"I dunno, never actually thought of it."

"Well kiddo, it shouldn't matter who you were!"

"No?"

"No."
