Hi back again. Sorry for not updating frequently, but I've been super drained since a family gathering I had today. I feel numb and sad at the same time and Idk why-

TW: Tying up with ropes, attempted sacrifice/murder, fainting.

Athena struggled against her bonds, scowling.

"Why me? It is not logical to have a simple princess like any other sacrificed to the Dragons."
"But you're smart and who knows when you'll turn against us!"

Her people pushed her into the pit before she could flyt them. She did not scream, she was too sensible and dignified for that. She landed with a thumb in the pit, which was thankfully littered with soft and damp autumn leaves.

She wriggled, trying to escape the ropes, but before she could find a weak spot she heard pounding steps.

A dragon appeared, red and golden scales glittering in the bare minimum of sunlight. It's mismatched brown and green eyes stared curiously at her. A green and silver dragon followed and almost pounced if the first had not slapped it gently with a wing.

The red dragon beat its wings, gripping Athena gently than she thought a dragon would be capable of.

They flew off with her and surprisingly to a castle. Unfortunately, they seemed to have forgotten about the lack of oxygen in the big sky. Athena had passed out during the flight and she awoke in a comfortably furnished room.

She was luckily wearing her glasses, although they were a bit crooked. She set them straight and slid out of the bed.

A sweet voice was singing some kind of song in a different language. A screechy voice interrupted, and the sweeter voice screeched something back.

She hesitantly opened the ornate door.

Two girls her age stood, screeching at each other. One wore a respectable, long and white dress with a red ribbon and bow. The other wore ragged and a rather short dress with a green ribbon tied around her waist.

They noticed Athena.

"Oh, you're awake!" The respectable one exclaimed. It was evident that she was not a native English speaker, and her accent seemed to be blurred from different accents.

"Yes. I am awake." Athena said stiffly, noticing the scaled and pointed ears each sported.

"She's a nice piece of-"

"Luna!"

Athena raised an eyebrow.

"Anyways, I'm Aurora and this is my twin sister Luna."

"I am Athena"

Aurora smiled brightly, "Allow me to make you some dinner."
