Bonnie had made a daylight ring for Godrick, it looked enough like the Gilbert rings to pass of as a family heirloom so no one would question it, and now he was sitting on his bed, in a suit, looking out the window, a letter in his hands, the words spinning around in his head.

'Godrick, if your reading this then it means that I am gone from this world, and I am not delusioned enough to think your criyng over me.

I've never been a father to you, and after seeing you interact with Gracon, I never tried to be. He was so good with you and your sister, he knew how to help you, how to be there for you when you needed it in a way that I never could. You were born for greatness my son, and my only regret is knowing that I had no part in getting you there.

You and your sister are extraordinary, in every sense of the word, and the world has repayed that greatness with the curse that is being part of the supernatural world, and I am sorry for that, but I know that you will fight beyond the pain it will bring you. I know you will protect your family with everything that you have, and I want you to know that I am proud of you for that, and so are Gracon and Miranda. But don't let your devotion turn you into the monster I ended up being.

Find happyness my son, that is all I ever wanted for you. I love you, and I always will.

John.'

He almost laughed as he turned the words in his head. He already was a worst monster than his father ever was, he was just lucky enough to be loved in spite of it.

A knock on his door roused him out of his reverie as his sister stood in the doorway of his bedroom, her black dressed accentuating her pale skin and red rimmed eyes. John was right, he never loved his father, and right now, he hated him for making his sister cry. Oh what a good son he turned out to be.

"Jeremy's waiting for us downstairs, are you ready to go?"

Godrick stood up from his bed and walked to his desk, he opened one of the drows and put the letter neatly in the back before closing it and turning to face his sister. Walking towards her, he took her hand in his and kissed her forhead before putting his arm around her and guiding her to the stairs.

"I hate funerals, to many feelings, it gives me the willys."

His sister let out a watery laugh at his strang choice of words and smiled lightly at the soft expression on his face, she could always count on Godtick to put a smile on her face, no matter what, and she loved him for that.

It had been three days since the sacrifice, and Godrick had been spent most of them resiving a crash cours on controle by both Stefan and Caroline. The general outline was stay full and ignore temptation. The second was easie for him, he had spend the past few years fighting temptation.

The firs was the reason why he was currently in the Salvatore Bording house's basement, raiding their bloob bag stash. Well raiding was a strong word, he was taking two blood bags, one for now and one for tonigh. There was a screening of an old movie at the grill and his sister insisted on his presence so he had to make sure he wasn't hungry or he may attack on of his fellow citycen, and that would not be good.

The last thing they needed was a vampire hunt on their hands. They were already dealing with Jenna's absence and all the leagual problems that came with it.

He had just putt the second blood bag in his bag when he heard the front door open and close. One of the brothers was back it would seem. Lets hope it was Stefan, he was not in the mood to deal with Damon.
