Godrick was walking through the woods, his trusty duffle bag in hand, when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. That was nothing new, he had been resiving calls from his sister and Stefan constantly since last night and he had done a wonderfull job at ignoring them since then but he was getting tired of the constante buzing so he took his phone out of his back pocket and prepared to put it on silent when he saw the message he just resived.

S.S: 'Elena is in danger.'

He was pressing the call button before he could take time to think about anything else. It rang twice before the vampire finaly picked up.

"What did she do?"

Stefan didn't seem to be in the mood to give him answeres.

"Where are you?"

But neither was he.

"Somewhere safe, unlike my sister aparently. Now what did she do."

Stefan new better then to try and get a straight answere out of the 'witch' boy and hoped for the easier option, use his sister as an ensentive to cooperate.

"She took the dagger out of Elijah, and now she is alone with him and she's not answering her phone so we need you to come to the house."

Godrick did his best to muffle the curse that escaped his lips. Elijah's retune complicated things a little bit, but not by much. And if his sister was in any imidiate danger then he would feel it and as long as she wasn't to far away he could always use magic to go to her quickly.

Now he just needed to find a good excuse as to why he wasn't running back to the Salvatore house to help the vampire brothers find his sister.

"Ok Stefan do you trust me?"

"Yes."

The siphoner didn't expect the answere to come so swiftly, and the quick and honest response threw him out of balance for a second there, but he shook of the shock quickly enough.

"Then trust me when I say that Elena will be fine, but I can't come back right now."

There was a moment of pause on the other side of the phone as the vampire thought about his request. There had to be good reason why the Gilbert boy wasn't woried about his sister and he trusted the teen more then anyone else when it came to Elena, everyone did. One of the reasons why the girl was so calm about all this supernatural drama was because she knew her brother was there to protect. So if he said that he couldn't come right now, then the semi-immortal had to believe it was for good reason. And he might have an idea at just what that reason might be.

"Is this part of the plan you shouldn't tell me about?"

An quiet sight of relief left the teen's lips at the easy acceptance before a teasing smile took over his face.

"Yeah. I don't want to catch the Salvatore bad luck."

The answering chuckel made his smile widen just the slightest bit.

"Yeah, we wouldn't want that."

There was an other moment of comfortable silence before Stefan spoke again, his voice quieter this time.

"Are you sure your safe?"

Godrick thought about the werewolf he had chained to a chaire one room away from a transitioning vampire and let his smile take on a sarcastic edge.

"Safe is relative."

A snort coming from the other side of the line told him exactly how the vampire felt about that answere but he didn't push so he guest it was good enough.
