A day after Damon snapped Jeremy's neck, Katherine killed Caroline while she had vampire blood in her system and now the Forbes girl was a vampire.

A week later and Damon had found himself a new obsecion and dregged the other's along with him. Meaning Elena and Alaric were heading to Duck university to check out Isobel's research in werewolf while Stefan stayed in Mystic Falls to teach the new vampire in town how to feed. And that is why he was at the grill, talking to his girlfriend's twin.

Godrick had left the house early in order to avoid Damon, he knew that just seing the guy's face will reawaken his desire to kill him so he stayed away. For everyone's safety. And that his how Stefan cornered him has he ordered breakfast at the grill.

"Why don't you ask Bonnie to do this. She has Emily's grimoir, the spell to make a daylight ring is somewhere in there."

Stefan had tried to ask Bonnie but the witch had been avoiding him lately.

"Bonnie isn't talking to me. And you know how to make a daylight ring."

The Gilbert was about to answer when the waiter came with his order. He thanked the man and waited for him to leave before speaking.

"What makes you think that?"

The Gilbert boy was a little paranoid sometime, he could admit it, but siphoners were not very well liked. He had hit the jackpod with Sheila, she had been very accepting and willing to teach him and she pased that on to her gandaughter. The vampires however just knew that he was a witch and that his magic was different and he wanted to keep it that way.

He had been very carful when it came to the spells he used. He tried not to do anything Bonnie couldn't do at the level she was in right now. The only reason he seemed stronger than her was because he was more willing to use his 'gift' to hurt others than she was. But that didn't explain how Stefan knew he could do a spell as rare as the one to do a daylight ring.

"Isobel's necklace."

Godrick didn't comfurm or deny the accusation out loud but he didn't need to.

"When do you do you want me to do it?"

The boys were in Caroline's bedroom as Godrik got ready to do his spell but the girl's mood did not help him at all.

"So, I don't get to choose the ring I have to wear the rest of my life?"

The Gilbert loved his friend, he did. But if she didn't stop whining soon he was going to leave her to her fate.

"If you want to avoid the sun for the next hundred years that's your call."

Stefan steped in before an argument could errupte.

"No, no, she'll take it."

Caroline gave a disgrunteled look at the older vampire and placed her future daylight ring on her bed with a huff.

"Now what?"

Godrick's expression was cold as he spoke.

"Now I give you the rules. I don't care what you do, or who you feed on but if you hurt my family I will take the magic away from the ring and watch you burn with a smile on my face."

The girl gave him a disturbed look.

"Godrick! I thought you were my friend."

The boy's resolve didn't waver at her plead.

"I can't ignore what you are now, Caroline. You're dangerous, and I will protect my own. Even if I have to kill you to do it."

Caroline turned a hepless expression to the vampire sitting on her bed but he was of no help.
