Haunted (1×07)

It's been 3 weeks since Vicky turned, and the town was still looking for her. The police station was organizing search parties and Jeremy had went to every single one of them. Matt was losing his mind with worry and Elena didn't know what to do so she dragged her twin brother to the Boarding house to talk to Stefan.

Godrick rung the doorbell as his sister twisted her hands nervously. She hadn't seen Stefan in a few days, and she was a little anxious. They weren't together anymore but that didn't mean her feelings for him has disappeared. Unfortunately, the person to open the door was not who either of the twins hoped for.

"Is Stefan here?"

Normally Godrick would have scolded his sister on her rude behavior but he hated Damon's guts with a passion so he let her be. He had resigned himself to keeping the vamp alive but that didn't mean he had to like it. The vampire's smug demeaner didn't help his opinion of him either.

"Yep."

Elena wasn't in the mood to play his game.

"Where is he?"

Damon just smirked at her bad mood.

"And good morning to you, little miss " I'm on a mission"."

Crossing her arms, the gilbert girl fixed the vampire with a judging look.

"How can you be so arrogant and glib after everything that you've done?"

Her twin sent her a proud look at the cutting retort but unfortunately the answer she received was swift and just as cutting.

"And how can you be so brave and stupid to call a vampire arrogant and glib?"

Godrick, sensing the unspoken threat raised his hand and flicked his wrist to the side, sending the hundred and something year old vampire flying through the air.

"Because she as me. And she knows I won't hesitate to end you pathetic little life if you so much as look at her wrong."

Damon didn't take kindly to being challenged though as he got back on his feet and used his speed to try and attack the little pest. He didn't take two steps forward thought that pain burst in his head and brought him to his knees. Godrick kept his gaze focused on the vampire until he felt his sister's hand fall on his shoulders.

Looking back at his twin as she nodded he let the vampire go. His message had been received. Don't mess with Elena or there will be hell to pay. Damon narrowed his eyes at the Gilbert boy before addressing the less dangerous twin and walking off.

"Stefan's upstairs singing "The rain in Spain". Knock yourself out."

Elena took her brother's hand in her own, seeing that he was still tense, and walked further into the house closing the door behind her.

"Stefan?"

After a few seconds with no answer, she tried again.

"Stefan?"

An answer finally came from the stairs behind them.

"Yes."

Spinning around the twins looked up and asked.

"Where's Vicky?"

Walking down the steps to join the two teens Stefan shook of the strange feeling that always came when they spoke in sync and put a finger to his lips to keep them quiet before pointing his thumb behind himself.

"She's upstairs."

Elena looked up the stairs as if she expected Vicky to appear before turning back to the vampire in front of her.
