Godrick was hanging out with Tyler and Matt, throwing around a football as they talked about his sister.

"Look...there's Elena and her new boyfriend. Now, what are they doing? Oh, they're walking, walking, walking. Yep. Right into the sunset."

Looking at where Tyler was pointing Matt shook his head in exasperation.

"You're a dick."

The Lockwood ignored the insult and kept talking.

"While you just stand there looking like one of those little yard trolls."

Godrick shook his head at his friend's ignorance and threw the ball at Matt, while the Donovan boy educated their small minded friend on yard decorations.

"Gnomes."

Throwing the ball back at the Gilbert boy Matt kept talking.

"Hey, what am I supposed to do, Ty? She made her choice."

It was a sad day when someone was reduced to going to a meat head like Tyler for advice but Godrick was out because they were talking about his twin and his other friends were dumber than Tyler so he took what he could get.

"Let her know she made the wrong one."

Tyler caught the ball the other two were throwing and took a few steps back. Matt understood his intentions immediately and tried to get him to stop.

"What are you doing? Ty, don't. Ty, don't! Ty!"

Tyler didn't listen and threw the ball at Stefan's unsuspecting back. Tyler was not prepared for Stefan to turn around quickly and catch the ball, he was even less prepared for the Salvatore to throw the ball back at him with double the force. The throw was so strong it stole his breath as he caught the ball.

Half the courtyard looked on in astonished amazement as the new guy just shrugged of the attention and turn back to make his way inside, Elena by his side. Godrick was one of the only ones not impressed as he walked to Tyler's still frozen form. He gave his friend a slap on the back of the head to wake him up before picking up his bag from the floor and making his own way inside, throwing a few words at his astonished friend.

"You deserved that slap, and you know it, don't deny it."

After an impressive display of historical knowledge on Stefan's part, and other boring classes the time for sports finally began.

Unfortunately for Godrick, Hight school sports were not his thing so he was stuck in the bleachers watching the different team's practice. On one side were the cheerleaders, with Caroline as captain, on the other was the football team and their coach from hell, Tanner, and in the middle was his sister torn between her wish to remain a cheerleader and drooling over her boyfriend, who was now apparently part of the football team. Can you picture the chaos?

Godrick stayed for another hour before taking his things and leaving to do his own sport. His father had signed him up for self-defense classes when he was young and he hadn't missed a class to this day, he wasn't about to start now. It was two hours later as he took a shower in the changing room that his sister sent him a text. Apparently, they were having people over tonight and she wanted him to cook. It was pathetic really; his sister was 17 and she couldn't make simple pasta to save her life.

Two hours and a trip to the grocery store later Godrick was in the kitchen cutting up the tomatoes for his salad as Elena set the table and Bonnie babbled while munching on cheese cubs.

"You explain it. Last night, I'm watching Nine-o, a commercial break come on and I'm like, I bet it's that phone commercial. And sure enough, it's that guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Paris and he flies back. They take a picture."
