Under Control (1×18)

It had been a few days since the rescue Stefan mission and things were starting to get back to normal.

Godrick was walking down the stairs when he saw someone he hadn't seen in a while.

"Uncle John. What are you doing here?"

His uncle smiled has he shook his hand.

"I had some business in town; I thought that a visit was in order."

Elena did not like the sound of that. She didn't like her uncle, in fact she hated him. Well as much as you can hate a family member anyway.

"How long are you staying?" John shrugged.

" I don't know yet."

The twins shared an unhappy look. That wasn't vague at all. Shaking of her annoyance Elena picked up her keys.

"Okay, well, I'm gonna go to school, I'll see you later."

Godrick patted his uncle on the back before following his sister out the door. She wasn't the only one who didn't like John and the older twin did not want to be there when Jenna jumped at his throat and murdered him. Plosibal deniability and all that.

The twins were at their lockers as Elena talked to Matt about John.

"He said his trip is open ended." The quarterback grumbled.

"Uncle John, I never really liked that guy."

Godrick nodded at the comment as he took his math book oit of his locker and put it into his bag.

"I'm the only one who likes the guy, and that is mostly because he baught me my motorcycle but... basicly everyone hates him because he's a dick."

Matt smiled at the joke before looking at the twins.

"I'm here for moral support if you need me."

Elena gave a greatful look but shook her head negativly.

"Thanks, I think we'll suffer this one alone; you've been through enough."

It was Matt's turn to be greatfull.

"Thank you by the way, for just...for everything you did at Vicki's funeral and the memorial. I couldn't have done it without you."

It was depressing that the twins had become so good at organizing funerals that they did it for other people, but if they can help a friend in need. Plus Godrick thought it was the least he could do, you know, he was the one to kill Vicky after all.

"Of course Matt."

Closing her locker Elean picked up her bag.

"So, was Caroline still baking for you guys, around the clock?"

That got a laugh out of Matt as he shook his head in exasperation.

"She finally went to her dad, which is a good thing because my mom was going to strangle her if she dropped off one more lasagna."

And on that merry note, they made their way to class.

Godrick, Jenna, Jeremy and John were eating in the kitchen and John was talking about the Fouder's party the next day when the youngest in the family interumpted.

"I've no interest in the Founders' Day Kick-off Party."

That didn't seem to matter to John though.
