KRISTINE'S POV

"Aren't you supposed to be leaving?" May narinig akong nagsalita pero 'di ko muna idinilat ang mga mata ko. "Angelo called already, and he told me that you're late for your fight." Mukhang si Ayel yung nagsasalita.

"I have a patient, remember?" Narinig ko naman ang boses ni Jairo. "Besides, lagi namang talo 'yang grupo ng boyfriend mo, at nandoon naman si Bryle."

"Six versus five isn't a fair game," salita ulit ni Ayel. "You know that they play fair, unlike the other gangs."

"Still, Yel. I can't leave Kristine alone."

"So what am I? A ghost? And we got lots of maids, they can all take care of her, cuz."

"Haist!" Matagal na 'di nagsalita si Jairo. "Fine. Fine. But if something bad happens to her, I'm blaming you and I'll send your boyfriend to the hospital."

"Whatever. Now go! Leave!"

"Lower your voice, d*mn it! Can't you see she's resting?"

"My bad. Now, babye!" Saka ko narinig na bumukas at sumara yung pinto. "By the way, I know you're awake," biglang sabi ng pinsan ni Jairo. Kaya naman dahan-dahan kong binuksan yung mga mata ko.

"H-How did you know?"

"My voice was too loud. It can wake any sleeping being." Umupo siya sa dating kinauupuan ni Jai at humarap sa akin. "By the way, I'm rooting for you." Naguluhan ako sa sinabi niya at mukhang napansin niya yun sa mukha ko. "I really don't like Jairo's ex-girlfriend. I already sensed Blaire's b*tchiness ever since she entered our home." Ngumiti siya sa akin. "But as for you, all I sensed was very strong will and kindness. So please, take care of my cousin. But it's the spell's doing... Gusto ko sanang sabihin pero nakakakaba kung anong mangyayari once na nalaman nila ang about sa spell. Kaya naman ngumiti na lang ako bago nagsalita. "Sige po... Utang na loob ko na rin po sa inyo ang pag-aalaga niyo sa akin." Hay... Bahala na nga.

"Goody good. But first, how are you feeling?" nakangiti niyang tanong sa akin.

Hindi ko alam pero parang ang gaan ng pakiramdam ko sa kanya. "Much better than yesterday."

Mas lumapad naman ang ngiti niya. "That's good. Can you try standing up? So we can eat in the dining area together? I asked our chef to cook Pasta Con Pomodoro E Basilico, Mushroom Risotto, and Pistachio Panna Cotta." Halata naman sa mukha niyang excited siya.

A-Anoo daw?

"Come on! Just try. If you really can't then I'll send the food here."

Bigla naman akong nahiya kaya sinubukan kong tumayo at maglakad. And instead of calling maids to assist me, just how I imagined it, siya na mismo ang umalalay sa akin hanggang sa makarating kami sa dining table nila.
