Chapter 9: Take Her Home
"You seemed like you all wanted something so.. I'm going to ask.. who sent you?" The two soldiers went silent, pondering over telling her or not. She sat there silently, tapping her fingers on the branch where she sat. It has been a minute and the two still haven't answered her, making her click her tongue in annoyance.
"Tch. Guess no one's leaving alive, then." She was about to jump from the branch when the female soldier stopped her.
"No! Wait! We'll tell you." The soldier took a sharp breath, swallowing the lump in her throat. They were instructed to not tell anyone who they're working for, but if they don't, they'll die, and worse, no one else will be coming back alive.
"You must keep your word." The soldier added, taking a deep breath as Hisashi nodded. "We work for your father. Now, come with us silently." Hisashi smiled at her.
"No." Hisashi said in a singsong tone.
"What do you mean no?!" The soldier exclaimed. "We already told you who sent us! You said you would keep your word!"
"What word?" She grinned, standing up from the branch. "I haven't said that I would do anything when you tell me who sent you." She stayed standing there since getting closer to them would be dangerous.
"Y-You liar!" The soldier shouted in anger.
"I'm not a liar. It was just you who assumed that I agreed into going with you."
"Come with us, young miss. Let us go home. Your father is looking for you." The male soldier said, making her scoff.
"Are you joking? My home is at the top of the hill. And whose father are you saying? I have no father." She shrugged. "Now I'm annoyed. Let's finish this."
The male soldier swung his whip towards her. She dodged it by letting herself fall head first. She stared at the huge hammer coming towards her way but she didn't bother moving. Before it could even reach her, the female soldier stopped it making her smile.
"I knew it. You're not allowed to hurt me." She said, turning her body so she would land feet first. She stared at the two soldiers in front of her who were gritting her teeth. "You expect me to go without putting up a fight? Too bad, you can't make me go with you without hurting me."
The female soldier screamed, swinging her hammer once again. Hisashi jumped, landing on top of the hammer. The soldier threw her up using the hammer and it was now the whip's turn to attack. It came from the left and it was crackling with electricity. It was really obvious that he was targeting her ankles to limit her movements, so she bended her knees and hugged it against her chest.
"Too obvious." Her eyes darted towards the hammer below her. It was speeding upwards and she knew she couldn't dodge. It will be too late for her to stretch her legs. "Ooops." Oh, wait, I can dodge, but nah. She was thrown 50 meters away from the ground and as she was in the air, she rubbed her butt that was hit by the hammer.
"Oh, the view's nice up here." She smiled, admiring the view as the wind blew on her body. She saw someone at the roof of her house. He was staring at her with an amused grin, one of his hands placed above his hip. Oh! It's Hisoka!
She giggled, her body finally falling from such a tremendous height. The wind pressure was so strong and the air above was cold, and she likes it. She felt as if she was like a bird freed from her cage, bathing in the brightness of the warm sun for the first time. Her body hit the branches and the leaves as she fell down, giving her a few scratches that stung.
"Catch her! Catch her! Damn it I didn't know she wouldn't dodge!" She heard the female soldier panic, making her smirk and close her eyes, pretending to have lost consciousness.
