Chapter 10: Rage

As Hisashi had her eyes fixed on Commander Troy, her mind was working, analyzing things.

His last trap was like this, too, but unlike the last time, the soldiers were told to do any means necessary to take us back, including injuring us. They tried to talk us out, but we wouldn't go without putting up a fight. She gripped her bow tightly as Commander Troy smirked at her.

"I guess I'll attack you first, then." Commander Troy didn't waste any time. He unleashed his ability without warning. "Mythical Creature: Centaur!"

He released a huge amount of aura as rocks and dirt started to build into a centaur, a part human and a part horse creature. It held a bow in its hands, but Hisashi still had her mind stuck in what she was thinking.

The soldiers right now were told to not hurt me and just leave with me peacefully, which is impossible to happen. They were still living sacrifices, though, because the commander knew that I wouldn't agree to it. I didn't realize that it was still him leading the troupe– that's it! She jumped to the right to avoid a bow coming her way.

Commander Troy brought 19 Elite Soldiers with him and they were all living sacrifices. He ordered them to not hurt me, which was the opposite of his orders the last time I encountered him, so that I wouldn't identify that it was him and use all my strength in these soldiers since he knew that I wouldn't let everything go their way without a fight. He made me lower my guard, he tricked me into thinking that he wasn't one of them, and used the same method as the last time. Well, not bad.

She did a backflip before pulling the string of her bow, an arrow made of Nen materializing as she aimed it at the centaur. Without a second thought, she fired it as it pierced the centaur who immediately crumbled into stones and dirt once again.

"You know, Commander Troy, you aren't that strong. But with your dirty tactics and the love of living sacrifices, you made your way towards the title you have right now." She said, cocking her eyebrows and smiling at him.

"What are you trying to say?" He asked her, confusion dancing in his eyes.

"I'm saying that without the dirty tricks under your sleeves, you'd be nothing." Her smile faded as she glared at him. "You think I fell for your trap already? The same plan doesn't work on me twice, you fucking piece of shit. I'm not that little girl that you knew anymore. I'm not stupid like what you think I am. Underestimating someone who grew up under a Quixote's wings is the worst mistake you could ever do." Her aura started to become darker. It was filled with negative emotions as it circled the commander who froze on where he was standing when he felt her aura.

"How many lives have you taken, Commander? Ever since you've stepped up into that 'mighty' position, how many lives have you taken?" She asked him as he forced himself to meet her gaze.

"Y-You're one to talk–"

"I am asking you, Commander Troy, how many lives have you taken?!" Her loud voice was enough to make him shut his mouth. Her aura became thicker and heavier to the point that it suffocates him.

"You took lives more than I did!"

"And yeah! So what?! At least the lives I took protected even more lives! You! Whose life did you protect with those lives you have taken?! Yourself?! Damn!" She laughed. "What did you even do for you to become a Commander?! What did you even deserve to receive that title?! You worthless scumbag!"

She hadn't noticed it, but the whole forest surrounding her house was covered with her unfiltered Nen. The soldiers remaining felt extreme rage in her aura, making them tremble in fear. Yon immediately took that to his advantage, attacking them and ending their lives as fear engulfed them.

"It was you who took their lives. Not me." The commander said through gritted teeth, making her scoff.

"If someone who is worthy of the title Commander holds that position now, lives wouldn't have been sacrificed. If I don't kill, I would be back in that hellhole. And once I am back, millions of lives will be snatched away. Do you understand what I am saying? Oh, of course not, that's because you use other people as shields so that when you fail your fucking mission, you will still be in perfect condition and you'd blame the failure to your soldiers who still wanted to fucking live!" She clenched her fists in anger, her eyes blazing with fire as she glared at the shaking commander in front of her.

"I will kill you." It only took four words for the commander to drop to his knees and bow his head.

"Please spare me!" Her eyes twitched in annoyance. Scoffing, her hand trembled in anger and despise.

"You wasted lives of those who had potential. Sparing you would mean destroying the youth's dreams. See you in hell, shithead."

"No! Please, spare me! I won't do it again! I won't–AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed in pain, standing up and running around as his body was engulfed with unquenchable flames. He was screaming, flailing his body like a madman as he burned. Hisashi had no emotion in her eyes as she stared at him, listening to his agonized cries and pleads.

"That pain speaks for us. And it still isn't enough." She clenched her jaw, trying to calm herself. "That's enough, that's enough, that's enough." She whispered to herself as she restrained her body from moving.

"M-Monster! Y-You a-are a m-monster–AAAHH!" Commander Troy managed to say, making her squint her eyes.

"That's right. I am a monster, a monster who would take you all down." She turned her back, her gaze dropping on Yon who was bloody. It wasn't his blood, of course.

"I'm putting you back inside." She said in a low voice. Yon nodded, making her close her eyes as she let him dissipate into aura, returning in her body. She continued walking as she opened her eyes, not listening to Troy's pained cries anymore. Now that she had done the first step in the Plan F, she knew that more would be coming, and that soon enough, she will face the monster she loathed the most once again.

She walked in silence back to her home, ignoring Hisoka who was standing outside the doorway. Hisoka stared at her as she passed by him with a serious expression on his face. He watched everything that happened in the woods. He had so many questions and he was so confused but he kept silent, sensing the sorrow and rage radiating from her. It was strange, since he always see her being crazy, kind of jolly, happy-go-lucky, and a little stupid kind of girl. Seeing her now in this state made him question if him barging into her life was okay.

He returned his gaze to the woods in front of him, sighing softly. He isn't supposed to think of these kinds of things. He wanted to defeat her. That was his main purpose of barging into her life. He wanted to break her. That was the main purpose of him not leaving her side. But then, how could he defeat a person who was already defeated, and how could he break a person who was already broken?

He could only lower his head, thinking about his decisions in life all of a sudden.
