Chapter 16: The Crazy Pair

"Is that kid okay now?" Hisoka asked her as Hisashi stepped foot outside the house.

"She is." She answered, stretching her hands out in the air.

"Shall we?" Hisoka asked, motioning his hand to let her run first. Heading to the Illusionism Ruins by foot would be faster for them. They only have less than three hours left, and they can reach there for sure. But not in time since they have to pass through three cities in order to reach the said area.

"Gladly." Hisashi nodded and started running at full speed, Hisoka tailing her. They passed through the forest, the city, and even crossed the borders of each city at magnificent speed, and that when the clock struck 11 pm, they were two kilometers away from the ruins.

"Hisa-chan!" Hisoka called out, speeding up so he can run beside her. "I suggest that you only talk to me when we arrive there, and I'll do the same to you." He said, making Hisashi look at him weirdly.

"What's with that suggestion?"

"Well, we don't know who might be there. There might be some troublesome people who might take something from us." He turned his head to look at their path, smirking to himself. That's right. When other people talk to you, they might take you away from me. You might find an even more formidable opponent than me. That would be a pain.

"Okay." Hisashi answered in a singsong tone, barely noticing a huge metal log wrapped with Nen coming their way from her left. But by the time that she noticed it, she was already struck. Crap! I didn't notice that!

She was hit by the metal log, her body colliding with Hisoka as the metal log pushed them with such a great force. Not too far from them is a wall, and they'll get crushed if they can't stop the log. The log created a loud sound as it clashed against the wall with Hisoka and Hisashi in between.

A man from behind the bush snickered as he stood up. There was a scar on his forehead, his grin was wide and he stood tall.

"Alright! That's one enemy down!"

"Did you get them, Yukoi?" A lady behind him asked, her eyes closed as her hands glowed with Nen.

"Of course! What do you expect from me?" He pointed at himself, full of conviction as the lady opened her eyes, removing the Nen from her hand and from the metal log that was sent flying.

"You'd be nothing without me, though." The lady put one of her hands above her hips, a smirk was plastered on her face.

"Shut your mouth, Tasha! You're nothing without me, too!" Yukoi exclaimed, getting out of his hiding place before walking towards the metal log that stayed sticking on the wall.

"Did I throw it that hard?" He asked himself.

"You always do everything the hard way." Tasha snickered as she stood beside him. He was about to retort when a loud sound of metal falling onto the ground interrupted him. He and Tasha both looked at the wall, their eyes widening when they saw the lady with red and orange hair and the man who looked like a clown still intact. They sinked into the wall. The lady had her bruised left arm in front of her and her head was bleeding. The man behind her had a few scratches on his shoulder, but to their confusion, he looked really, really pleased.

Hisa-chan is completely pressed against me. Oh. Hisoka smirked, clearly liking the position they are in.

"Crap, that was powerful." Hisashi groaned, sticking her arms out and using the wall to pull herself out. She dropped to the ground on her knees, Hisoka landing beside her. Yukoi and Tasha both had their eyes wide in shock as they stared at the two who were in good condition after that attack.

"O-Oi, Y-Yukoi, y-you held back, didn't you?" Tasha stuttered, her hands shaking.

"Y-Yeah, p-perhaps I did." Yukoi answered, secretly freaking out. That was my full strength! How did they go out with only little injuries?!

"And now I regret not using all of my aura into Ken. It really hurts." Hisashi complained with a pout, examining her left arm. Hisoka suddenly held it, making her flinch.

"It might be dislocated." Hisoka said, looking at her.

"Oh, really? Place it back, then." She said with a smile before peeking behind Hisoka where the attackers are. They were about to escape.

"Where are you going? Stay there." She said as the two froze before looking back at her. "Come on, don't be too nervous. Stay where you are before your heads will go flying off–" She stopped talking when she heard a crack. She blinked multiple times, turning her head towards Hisoka who had a smug look on his face while holding her left arm. She blinked two times before finally realizing what happened.

"HISOKAAAAA! THAT HURT, YOU IDIOT!"

"But you told me to place it back."

Yukoi and Tasha had their mouths agape while staring at the two who were now after each other's throats.

"T-They're a pair, right?" Tasha asked, pointing at the two.

"Y-Yeah, I think so." Yukoi answered, his eyes filled with confusion. The terrifying people earlier were replaced with what seems like airheads. Yukoi cleared his throat, taking a step forward. "Oi, you're another pair joining the warfare, right?" He asked the two who immediately stopped fighting. Hisashi, whose foot was about to hit Hisoka's face stopped midair, and Hisoka, who was about to slice her neck with a card stopped in his movements, both turned their heads to look at them.

"Oh, right." Hisashi said, taking her foot down and standing up straight. She looked at Hisoka who hid his card. "We're here to join the warfare. But.. pair?" Hisashi turned to look at them with curious eyes.

"Don't tell me.. you don't know that it was a pair warfare?!" Tasha unbelievably asked, making Hisashi blink as she turned to look at Hisoka once again.

"Right, the warfare's name was The Dyad Warfare, and Dyad literally means pair or duo." She slapped her forehead upon realizing it.

"You just realized it? How slow can your mind get in processing things?" Hisoka teased, snickering while she glared at him.

"That's just how it is. Don't mess with it." She crossed her arms while Hisoka snickered once again, putting an arm above her shoulder and pulling her closer to him before walking towards the direction of the Illusionism Ruins.

"But it's messing with me, though." Hisoka said.

"Just wait! You'll be mindblown with my mind soon!"

"Hmmm, I wonder what else you can blow."

"Hisoka! You're really a pervert!" He only laughed at what she said.

Yukoi and Tasha exchanged looks, almost not believing that these two were the same people as those who looked intimidating earlier.

"They're a couple, aren't they?" Tasha asked, crossing her arms.

"Yeah, I think so." Yukoi answered. They both flinched when the two stopped walking and looked back at them.

"Follow us, or you'll die right here, right now." Hisoka threatened them, making them scramble to walk behind the two.

As Yukoi and Tasha walked behind those two, only one thing circulated in their mind. They're crazy!
