Chapter 1: Hisoka

The man in front of her lit up the cigarette placed between his lips, huffing out the smoke from his mouth. The stench of beer and the cigarette was lingering all around the room making her scrunch her nose in disgust. Disgusting smell! Terrible, horrible, horrendous, dreadful!

"You see, there's this person who always ticks me off. He owns a large company and he would always rub it in my face that he was more successful." The man stated in an irritated voice, his accent somewhat hard and his voice was gruff. He was bald, had a huge physique, and sharp eyes that can make any little kid scared. But she's no kid, so she doesn't fear him.

"Hmmm, continue." She waved her hand, urging the man to continue.

"He would always have numerous bodyguards around him and he always wore expensive rings and accessories because he knew that it would make any person jealous. And honestly, his boastful attitude irritates the fuck out of me." She hummed, a smirk plastered on her face sensing the rage coating the man's whole being.

"So, I want you to kill him for me." She let out a loud sigh and crossed her legs before leaning on her seat.

"That was what I was waiting for."

A few hours later, she found herself on top of a building adjacent to the target's room. Her red eyes observed his every move, how many guards he has, where they were standing, and how she would kill her target whose name she forgot. Oh, dear, I'm getting forgetful.

She stood straight, scooping her red hair with orange locks up and tying it into a messy bun. She just decided to do the assassination a few seconds from now. She's planning to make it fast and clean since the man doesn't leave enough impression to her. Without a second thought, she climbed the window where she was staring at her target from.

"Oooh, terrifying." She giggled, staring at the busy streets below. She was more than a hundred meters away from the ground, the strong wind blowing against her but she doesn't care much. It was fun, being in a dangerous situation, wherein just one wrong step would lead her to fall to her death. It was so much fun.

She waved at a child staring at her from a window on the lower floor. The child's innocent eyes are staring straight at her sin-filled ones. She winked at the kid before jumping towards the building across her.

She landed on the target's veranda, silently applauding her self for her smooth and quiet movement. That kid better be learning from me.

She put both of her hands on her hips, casually entering her target's room which was now dark and startling the man sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Hi!" She greeted almost too enthusiastically as she sat on a chair across the target.

"W-Who are you?!" Her target stuttered and immediately stood up. "I'm calling my guards–"

"Oh, no, not gonna happen." She crossed her legs reaching for the pack of cigarettes resting at the top of the table.

"Get out of here, you bitch! Guards!" She smirked, taking one cigarette out.

"There is no use in screaming. I covered the whole room with a soundproof Nen barrier." Placing the cigarette between her lips, she raised her index finger. There was a small spark, until a small flame ignited at the tip of her finger, lighting the cigarette between her lips.

"Y-You're.." the man's eyes widened, recognizing the lady in front of him. She smirked seeing the terror in his eyes before inhaling the smoke from the cigarette only to throw a coughing fit. She laughed in between her coughs when she realized something, the man staring at her both in fear and confusion.

"S-Silly me, I don't know how to smoke!" She threw the cigarettes on the floor before standing up. The man froze on his place.

"Oh come on, I ain't doing anything and you're as stiff as a wood. Am I that scary? Hmmm?" She made her way towards the large mirror in his room, scanning her face. "I'm not that scary, you know?" She looked at him through the mirror and saw that he was trembling. She frowned, clearly disappointed.

"You're no fun." She groaned, and faced him. "I'll end this before I get bored."

"N-No! P-Please spare me!" The man begged, his knees falling onto the floor. She smiled sweetly at his antics. I love that initiative, but I'm not falling for that.

"Sorry, but I was paid. The money would be a waste, you know? Besides, my services costs half a million."

"No! Please!" He begged.

"Hmmm, no, and please don't hold a grudge against me. Point your grudge towards Minerva, he hired me." Giggling, she took out the small gun strapped around her thigh. "And as much as I hate to use guns, I need to make it clean and fast."

"N-No!" The man screamed as he stood up and ran to the door's direction.

"Nuh-uh, you ain't going anywhere." She fired the gun at his leg, causing him to stumble forward and clutch his leg in pain.

"You bitch!" She walked towards him, a smile on her face.

"Care to look at your wound?" The man, despite shaking, did as what she said. He looked at his leg, only to see a bullet hole with the absence of blood.

"W-Wha–"

"As I have said, I need to make it clean. That bullet is made of Nen. It would suck all the blood inside your leg and disappear in just.. hmmm, let's see, 3, 2, 1." Her smile widened, seeing the horror in the man's face. "Do you feel your leg getting numb? Is it hard to move? Oh, look, it's getting paler!" She giggled as the man screamed in fear.

"Next." She pointed the gun towards the direction of his heart. He was paralyzed in fear, his eyes wide and full of terror. He knew it was the end. No one gets out alive with this lady in front of him.

She closed an eye, aiming for the perfect spot in his heart. "Hey Mister, the name's Hisashi. I hope you'd still remember me when we meet in the afterlife." She fired the gun, the man's body dropping pale and limp on the floor.

She put the gun back on her thigh, running towards the door only for it to be opened and her bumping into a tall figure. "Ooof, sorry." She nonchalantly said and rushed to leave. She felt something stick on her left arm, her eyes twitching when she recognized it.

Oooh, this technique. She already knew what this technique does, and so she knew what would happen next.

She was pulled back into the room landing butt first on the floor. She winced at her fall and immediately jumped backwards as three cards pierced on the floor where she was previously slumped on.

"Freaky." She grinned and rubbed her butt. "But that hurt."

Emerged from the shadows is a tall man. His skin was pale, and he has a yellow star on his right cheek and a pink teardrop on the left. He was tall, his hair a blend of pink and purple hue. His yellow eyes stared straight at hers, a smile on his face and a deck of cards is in his hand.

"When you say sorry, make sure you mean it." He mused, putting his free hand on his hip. Her smile widened, recognizing him.

"And when you deal with a lady, make sure to do it gently." She tilted her head to the right a little as his smile grew wider.

"My bad."

"I assume you are a bodyguard of this man.." She pointed at the corpse beside the door. ".. Hisoka."

"Not anymore. Thanks to you.. Hisashi."

The moonlight creeped through the curtains, falling upon both of them and giving them a clear look of each other. The night was silent albeit being deadly. The guards outside were yet aware that their boss was already dead, and another battle awaits to start between two people who seemed to be not in the right minds.
