'what's this' i laughed, jabbing at the bag and hearing it clink as we walked up the stairs. lucius and narcissa had some 'family friends' around so we had been banished to the roof yet again. i felt reassured knowing that phinneas was in dracos wardrobe again though, this time with a pillow in place of mr coolio. draco had allowed phinneas to set up house in his wardrobe, but no amount of begging from me would let him hand over mr coolio. 'hey!' he grinned to me, pulling the bag away 'hands off until we get up there'. he pushed open the door leading to the roof, walking over to the picnic blanket that basically lived up here now. we came up here most nights and looked at the stars, it was like a hobby of ours. i sunk down on one of the cushions, immediately helping myself to some strawberries from the basket i'd carried up. 'so what's in the bag' i asked eagerly, trying to grab at it again like a child. 'geez your like a bloodhound' he laughed, batting my hands away. 'okay, okay' he produced two bottles of firewhiskey, passing me one triumphantly. 'really?' i asked, raising my eyebrow at him and looking down at the bottle. 'why not' he smiled 'they're drinking downstairs, they're not gonna notice two bottles missing. it's school in three weeks, we might as well have some fun while we can'. he pulled the cork out of his bottle, making a satisfying pop. 'bottoms up' he laughed, clinking his bottle against mine and taking a large swig. i pulled mine out, putting the cork down carefully on the blanket next to me so i would remember to take it down with me. 'where did your cork go?' i asked draco, shining the torch around the roof. 'why?' he asked, shielding his eyes from the light. 'if we're drinking we're not gonna remember to look for it later, and it'll be even darker. if we leave it the house elves will get the blame for not tidying properly'. he sighed, standing up to help me look. 'sometimes i hate how considerate you are' he huffed, rubbing his hand across the ground. 'don't do that' i snapped 'there might be something sharp on the floor, don't get yourself cut that's just stupid'.
'yes sir' he saluted me, taking the torch from me and shining it around. 'here' he said, producing the cork from the floor and putting it next to mine, 'better now?'.
'very' i smiled, sitting back down crosslegged on the blanket and swigging from my bottle again.

'what did you do during the summer before i was here?' i grinned at him 'i mean you must have left the place a mess, not to mention how bored you must have been'.
'plot my own death' he replied drily, earning him a worried look from me. 'it was a joke' he smiled at me reassuringly, shaking his head. 'i studied mostly, i had nothing better to do'.
'is that how you're so clever?' i asked, nudging him.
'well, you don't get to be top of the year with no work' he pulled on his collar cockily, and i smacked him gently on the arm. 'if i remember correctly, you're actually second top. mione is first'.
'granger is ahead of me, for now. it's a temporary setback' he told me, lying back with his bottle and closing his eyes.

i looked over at draco about half an hour later, seeing he had finished his bottle and was attempting to take a cheeky swig from mine. i pulled it away from him gently 'i think that's enough' i laughed 'this stuff is pretty strong'. he smiled at me blearily, lying back down with his head on my lap. 'i love you' he mumbled, reaching his hand up and stroking my cheek. 'you're drunk' i laughed, pushing his hand away. 'i know' he replied, letting his hand drop back down by his side. he closed his eyes and was silent for ages, i was just debating how to move my dead legs without waking him up when he spoke suddenly, making me jump. 'scorpius is so clear tonight'.
'yeah, it is' i smiled, looking up at the sky.
'can we name our first child scorpius?' he whispered, looking at me. 'yeah' i grinned, squeezing his hand, knowing fine well he was so out of it he was not going to remember this tomorrow. 'we can'
