'y/n' harry shook my shoulder.
'hmm?' i murmured back and the three of them collectively laughed at me. 'you were dozing off' he grinned and i smiled back at him. 'sorry' i mumbled 'i was awake super early yesterday morning and then we had the DA meeting late last night'. ron frowned 'how come you were awake early yesterday?' he asked. 'oh' i paused for a minute, thinking what to say 'i just couldn't sleep'.
'are you still coming to hogsmeade with us today?' hermione chipped in and i shuck my head 'sorry mione, i'm so tired. i'm just gonna stay here and chill for the day'.
'it's okay' she smiled at me 'you can come with us next time'. i gave her a half hearted thumbs up and they laughed at me again, standing up and leaving the hall. i really needed to catch up on my sleep. i had some books to collect for herbology first, so i decided i'd head over to the greenhouses now and get that out the way.

it was somehow snowing outside, despite it being the start of june now, and i hadn't even had the sense to bring a jacket with me. i cursed myself, rubbing my hands up and down my arms to try and warm myself up. i was passing through the forbidden forest now, and even though i knew it wasn't dangerous in the day time i was still irrationally scared of it. it didn't help that it was a rare case of when the school had a monday off for a long weekend, so absolutely nobody was around. most sane people had gone in to hogsmeade, some of them had even decided to visit home. i think the lack of background noise that the other students usually made only added to the eerie atmosphere. a twig snapped behind me and i whipped around, seeing a figure disappear behind a tree. i pulled my wand out of my pocket and held it out in the direction of the tree, trying to hide how much my hand was shaking. 'who- who's there?' i called out, walking backwards away from the tree. i should have ran but i really couldn't force myself to turn my back on the tree. i shuffled backwards as quietly as possible, gasping loudly when i felt two hands grab my shoulders.

'shhh. it's just me'
'draco?' i groaned, spinning around to face him. 'you scared me!' i exclaimed, pushing him.
'what do you mean?' he laughed 'i just got here! you're the one that was creeping around the place like an insane person'. i gulped, grabbing his hand quickly. 'you're not the one that was following me?' i asked quietly, keeping my eyes on the tree again. 'no?' draco replied, sounding confused. he looked back at the tree and started to drag me away 'come on, it was probably nothing'.

we sprinted like kids running along the corridor to the room after the light had gone out, holding hands the full way and eventually collapsing in a heap next to the greenhouse. i snorted, starting to laugh at how childish we were. at the great age of 17, running away from a noise in the woods. draco smirked back at me, starting to gather up a ball of snow in his hands. 'are you building a snowman?' i asked, before turning away and reaching over to my bag to pull the greenhouse key out. 'nope' he replied, and i shrieked as i felt the cold melt down my back. 'draco you shit' i screamed, standing up and starting to shake the back of my top. 'you're so in for it now' i laughed, starting to gather up an arm full of snowballs. he grinned, running to take cover behind a tree. i started trying to pelt him with them, realising how terrible my aim was as i missed every single one. draco threw one back, effortlessly hitting me straight in the chest. i decided my best option was probably running, since i clearly had no chance of hitting him, so i turned and starting sprinting away as fast as my legs could possibly take me. i got around to the other side of the greenhouse before draco caught up, laughing and tackling me to the ground.

i looked up at him from where i lay in the snow, he was leaning over me with a snowball in his hand, clearly ready to stuff down my shirt again. his cheeks were bright red and flushed, and his blonde hair and eyelashes had little snow flakes slowly beginning to melt in them. 'have mercy?' i pleaded and he laughed again, leaning closer to kiss me. 'draco, i thought we had to pretend we weren't together?' i reasoned, and he rolled his eyes. 'you're always so sensible' he huffed 'nobody is going to see us all the way out here'. i shrugged, grabbing his collar and pulling him closer. i figured he was right, everyone was out for the day and even if they weren't, there was absolutely no reason they'd be all the way out here. i kissed him quickly, distracting him so i could push him off me into the pile of snow next to me. he wriggled to get up and i shook my head. 'stay still' i ordered him 'we're going to make snow angels'.
'snow angels' he scoffed 'what are you five?'. i gave him a withering glance before starting to kick my arms and legs out rhythmically. i looked over at draco, seeing he was doing the same and hooted with laughter. 'now who's five?' i teased and he stuck his tongue out at me, going back to concentrating on his angel. i stood up carefully, making sure not to damage my angel and then pulled him up too. i smiled, looking down at the two perfect angel shapes in the snow, so close it looked like they were holding hands.
