I missed it, missed all the driving through the woods with the air blowing all around me. The crunching of fall leaves. The fresh scent of spring... It was all gone, all gone. Damn him, Ruski ruined it all. All I have now is a hall and a metallic holding hut filled with stupid cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and sheep. But I still have Jardan, the only thing that existed that even mattered to me.

I went back to my room after this 'enlightening' speech done by Allie's dad. He talked about how when we get to the new planet people are going to sign up for different jobs to make it more civilized. I wondered if I had to take different classes or any classes at all because of my current job. I don't know.

I went to the bathroom inside my room and looked right in the mirror, straight past my green eyes and into myself. There I found nothing important. Then splashed my face with cold water. but still didn't see anything past my deep skin and strong muscles. (Some perks of working on a farm I guess.)

My deep brown hair had nothing to do with what's inside. Is there anything to me other than this farm boy I set out to be? I decided this trip, this journey, I 'm going to find myself. Find out who I really am deep inside.

Later that night I went to my dad's room to talk to him about me taking classes. I knocked on the door. He didn't answer. I walked in and it was dark. He wasn't there. If he wasn't there where could he be?

I looked all around then I just gave up. I went to say goodnight to Jardan. Then there he was, sitting with the sheep. I was confused. He never liked to hang out with them, especially when mom died. After she died he got all depressed and almost sold them all.

"What are you doing?" I asked. I could tell I caught him by surprise.

"Chillin' with the sheep." he replied.

"I thought you have hated the sheep since mom died?"

"I never hated them I just got so depressed and never really wanted to take care of them so I just wanted them gone.

"I'm the one that kept them alive." I mumbled.

"You still do." he said.

"Oh?!"

"So what did you come down here for?" he said, changing the subject.

"Oh, I wanted to talk to you about classes."

"Well, this is your full time job, but you could take some depending on what you want to do when we get to the new planet."

I told him, "I always wanted to be a pharmacist when we were on Earth."

"Well you could just take the medication and vaccine class"

"Okay, I'll take that one." I said goodnight to Jardan and went to bed.
