I woke up roughly around ten with a feeling of dread in my stomach. Something was wrong... I got dressed quickly and glanced out the window. I could see the neighbor boy in his room, slowly packing things. Were they moving? He looked worried, and kept glancing at the clock. His sister walked in then and they started talking. I wanted to know what they were saying.

I slipped out my back door and headed towards their house. I wondered if their worried faces had anything to do with this feeling I can't shake. The boy's window was open. I stood quietly and tried to hear, which was sort of difficult since they were practically whispering. I could make out only a few words, and one almost make my heart stop: Ruski.

Ruski? Yes, I heard it again. As in the crazy destroy the world Ruski? My dad told me a story about him once. It was around the same time he said he was looking for 'the ship'. I always thought he was crazy. But if it were true... Well, I suppose I should grab some cigarettes.

About ten minutes later I was done packing, I didn't have much. Everything important fit in my little black bag that was now strung over my shoulder. Too bad I didn't have any beer stocked up...

I then realized that I had no way of getting to 'the ship' if it was real, which I was honestly starting to beleive it is. Well, I glanced at the neighbor's house again, they could probably get me in there.

I sat in the shadow of my house for awhile until I saw the Waters come home. Wow, they looked like death, I guess this is pretty serious stuff then...

I waited until the two parents where inside until I bolted to the woman's car. Please be here, please be here... I felt about the bottom of the trunk of the car. Ah, there it is.

A long time ago my dad installed a secret compartment in the neighbor's car, in case there was ever an emergency that I had to hide from. It was weird, but I had gotten used to my dad's weirdness long before.

I slid into the tight little compartment and shut the latch. I waited for what seemed like ages, then I heard the trunk open. Someone threw bags in, shut it, and got in the driver's seat. We started moving, then I wondered how long this trip would take.

God I'm creepy, sitting in the trunk of the neighbor's car. The thought almost made me laugh.

After awhile I felt the car come to a stop. I waited until whoever was driving had gotten their things and shut the trunk before I emerged. Carefully climbing out of the car, I pulled my hoodie up and tried to blend in with the crowd. They were doing security check at the door...

I searched for an exit, spotting a big gray door, labeled storage, that was slowly closing. I slipped through the crowd and entered the door. Eventually after walking down many ramps I came to another series of doors. Picking one at random, I entered and gasped.

"The ship." I whispered. It was HUGE. Well, I thought so anyway. I ran down to the food storage door and walked in. I took a look around. There was a whole assortment of live plants to my left, animals to my right, and crates to my front. I spotted a guard and ran to the crates, taking cover behind a large one. He left eventually, and I smiled.

The ship was real, I was on it, and I will survive.
