"Your on in five" one of the guys told me.
"Thank you"
I finish getting ready, putting on my jean jacket.
I had a pair of jeans on with a white tee shirt and a jean jacket with black shoes.
I fix my hair and then walk out into the production studio.
I wait right next to the stage where I'm going to be interviewed.
"You'll be on soon" a guy told me by the stage.
I nod and sigh, I hope they are convinced because I wouldn't know what to do if not.
"Damon your on in 5,4,3,2" the director points to
Kelly brooks the host of 'spill the tea'.
"We are back, now we have to special guest today and I know you've been dying to hear all news on him, Damon young" Kelly said and I walked out smiling and waving at the camera.
"Damon I'm so glad your here"
"Thank you, I'm so glad to be here"
We sit down, Kelly sits in her white chair and I sit next to her on a white couch.
"So Damon you have a lot going on, a tour from your last album"
"Yes I do it's very exciting"
"What should we be expecting?, old songs maybe some new ones?"
"There will be songs from the last album and then maybe a new one or two"
"And your working on a new one with Victoria, how is that going working with one of your best friends?"
"It's great, she's amazing to work with, easy going, always eager and kind, she has this positive energy in the room"
"She's amazing and are you working on a music video?"
"Yes all this week so it should be out in the next few weeks"
"Ooh hear that? so look out for it" Kelly looked at the camera talking to the audience and then she says "so now let's talk about this" a picture of me and Payson shows up on the screen that Victoria took of us at the studio and then at the music video back stage.
"Is this your new love interest, everyone is going off and wondering are you two official?"
I smile and say "yes she is my girlfriend"
Kelly has a smile on her face and says "there you have it, that's exciting may you tell us about her, she looks different than your past girlfriends"
"Her name is Payson, I met her at a diner that I went to and she was different, she treated me like a normal person, not saying that I don't love my fans I do there the reason I'm making music, but something just stuck out so I asked her out to dinner, she said yes, then we went from there a month in we took a weekend trip and then I asked her to be mine"
Kelly put her hand to her heart and said "that's so cute, so she was a waitress, how did you know or how do know she's not using you for fame?"
Now this question got to me, even if me and Payson were for real, I don't believe she would use me like the others.
"She would never do that, she's different, she cares for others, she's kind, compassionate, Loving, selfless, she's visionary, has deep thoughtful process and she will go deeper to make you think, everyone of my friends love her"
"I can see Victoria post about you every time your with her"
"Yes Victoria loves her, and even Carter does as well"
"And Carters going on tour with you right?"
"Yes he is my opening act"
"And is Payson going with you?"
"Yeah she's got a few modeling gigs in the states we're going to"
"Oh wow so how did she get in modeling if she was just a waitress?"
"Sasha figures that we were serious and he figured if we're eventually going to be together then she can't stay at her job, so he got connections and had her work with Niki which Niki loves her as well and she's a natural"
"How did you ask her?"
Well glad Payson told me what she told Victoria.
"We went on a hike one morning and she just looked so beautiful no makeup,comfy clothes, she's just in her natural beauty, we went to a cliff and saw an eagle above and I took a picture of her if you saw on my social."
"Yes she's a beautiful girl"
"She is, anyways she turned around and I just knew I couldn't let this girl pass so I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes"
"That is the most romantic thing and a cute story"
"Thank you"
Kelly nodded and said "thank you so much Damon for joining us and best of luck on tour, guys you can buy last minute tickets in your area on his page and I'm so happy you found someone who just sounds amazing and show Damon and Payson some love, " Kelly said while waving and I wave and smile as well.
"Thank you again for having me"
"It's a pleasure Damon, bye guys see you next time"
"Cut" the director said.
"You did well" Kelly told me.
"Thank you for having me"
She smiled and left off of the stage.
I just hope everyone was convinced.
I get up and grab my things and head out on my motorcycle heading to Sasha's office and seeing how I did.
Once I got there I parked in the parking garage and went to Sasha's office.
I walked in and sat in front of his desk.
"You did well, the comments look good except they do believe that Payson is using you for money"
"But we got her, her own job"
"I believe and hope that once her pictures goes out more then they will be convinced and do more modeling gigs"
I nod and say "what about the rest?"
"The rest sounded good, I believe this can help you but keep it like that, don't mess this up for yourself"
I sighed and nodded.
"You may go, we leave on Saturday morning so get packing"
I get up and head home to find Payson out back.
I walk out and say "hey"
She looks back and not very convincing smile "hi"
"What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing I'm ok"
"Yeah right even Victoria says that and she's not so spill"
She sighs and says "I watched the interview and they think I'm using you Damon, all the comments say I'm ugly, using you, I'm greedy, not right-"
I cute her off "there wrong and once you do more modeling gigs they'll know your not using me and once we are together for longer than 4 months they should know by then"
She nods and I go up to her and put my hands on her shoulders "we'll be fine, we'll convince them"
"Yeah"
"Now come on let's take your Jeep out and your driving"
"Where?"
"Anywhere let's get a coffee at the dock"
"Ok"
We walk and I hand her the keys and she gets in the drivers seat and drives.
She smiled so bright and I watch her just thrilled she's driving her dream car.
"Happy aren't we?"
"Yes this is a dream"
I chuckle and we drove to the beach dock with music blaring and widows down.
Payson parked the Jeep and we get out in sunglasses and walked to the coffee shop.
We ordered and then just walked around, we both needed a break from the crazy and just soak in the quiet.
I just hope my fans can be more convinced that Payson is not using me, but in reality we are using each other, fake, but we seem like we're getting to be friends but after this is all over we'll be on our separate ways.
"What are you thinking about?" Payson ask
"Nothing just different things"
"Hmm we'll stop because your going to drive yourself crazy" she cracks a smile.
I laugh and say "true"
"Just take in the beach and enjoy it"
I nod and look around, this is my favorite place, peace, quiet and just me and the waves.
I sigh and just let in the peace, that's what I feel with Payson, no drama, no cling, I laugh with her, she goes deeper with her writing and even listening to songs and talking about them afterwards, she takes deeper, she is quiet but knows when to speak up, she has peace, and I feel I can be myself.
We keep walking and then eventually we throw our cups away and head home.
Well my home.
I guess we will have to see if the fans are convinced hopefully within the third or fourth month that she's with me and when she interviews they can see she's sweet, kind and caring.
I sigh and just let my thoughts fade away, as Payson said I don't need to go crazy over it and just let it be.
