The Unexpected

Chapter 23

"Payson are you packed because we're leaving in 30?" Damon asked walking out of the bathroom.

I'm packing my bags for the next state on tour which is his home town and that means meeting his mom.

"Yeah I just have to grab my toiletries" I stand up and head towards the bathroom passing Damon.

I grab my shampoo and conditioner, my toothbrush and my face wash, my makeup bag.
Then I walk out and put it in my bag.

I look over and see Damon zipping up his bag.
I sigh and zip up my bag.
I stand up and look to Damon.
He smiles and says "ready?"
"Yeah"
We walk out and head towards the bus.
Carter was out there putting his bags in his bus.
We head towards our bus and put our bags in.

After we head back in the hotel to eat before we leave.

I grab some eggs, a banana nut muffin, and fruit with coffee at the buffet.
I sit down and Carter comes with Damon.
They talk a bit while I just eat. I haven't really talked after the fashion show, I guess the thought of meeting his mom and acting like I'm really his girlfriend nerve racks me.

"Payson your blowing up the internet, have you seen your following?, and the new reports on you?" Carter asked.
"No I haven't after the fashion show I just went to bed"
"You should post your outfits, there gorgeous and check out the new reports the media loves you now"
Damon smiles a bit and says "she'll look when she's ready, and I'm the one who calls her gorgeous, you can call her pretty"
Carter put his hands up and says "sorry that's right he's all yours Payson" he cracks a smile.
I finish up and let Carter shower and Damon talk.

Eventually we finish and then head to the bus and head off to Florida.

I sit on the couch and get my phone out to write more.

"Your quiet Payson" Damon sits next to me.
"Aren't I always?"
"Not this quiet, what's up?"
"Nothing" lie I'm nerve racked because in a certain amount of hours I'm meeting your mom.
"Lies"
Dang it how did he figure me out?
"How would you know?"
"Payson, I may not know you all that much, but I know you enough now to know when your upset"
True but I won't admit it.
"Ok?"
He smirks "Payson your also stubborn at times, but your strong, you say what you need to say, and you stepped out into this with me"
"Thanks" I smile a bit.
"But really what's up? We got hours so talk"
I sigh and say "I just never met a guys mom like this, but we're fake so I don't know"
"Payson you'll be fine, I'll be with you and Carter will also"
I nod but still nervous.
"So it's just your mom?" I ask.
He looks blank, he sighs, maybe I shouldn't of asked this.
"Yeah it's just her"
"I'm sorry if..."
he cute me off "it's fine, now let me read what's next of yours"
"Nope"
"Hey I finished the song and preformed it now your turn"
"Fine"
I give him my phone and have him read the last thing I wrote.

I sit there hoping he doesn't think it's stupid or dumb, or even laugh at me.
It's been a dream of mine to publish my writings but never post them out, I guess I'm afraid to get rejected or even afraid that no one will like it.

"It's good send them all to me"
I look at him confused "why?"
"Because I want to read it all together when it's done"
"Ok"
"How much longer?"
"Well I'm hoping to finish by the time tours done"
"Wow that's fast"
"I started before us happened"
"Then I need those as well"
"It's probably bad you know" trying to avoid giving him the chapters.
"Nope I want them, Payson don't underestimate your gift, don't listen to the world"
I nod and smile "fine I'll give it to you"
"Thanks now email them to me"
He hands me my phone and I email my chapters to him.
"Now I have something to read"
"I never would've pictured you as a reader"
"Well doesn't every bad boy have there mystery's?"
"I guess so but I've seen a change Damon"
He stops and has his face like in thought.

I have seen a change, but who knows if it will last, once I'm gone who knows.

"Well Payson I've seen a change as well your more outgoing, you show yourself, yesterday you did amazing you proved to the world your worth being here, Payson you showed who you were and I agree with Carter post it and I will do the same"
Damon grabbed his phone and got the picture from yesterday and sent them to me.
"How did you..?"
"The photographer sent them and I got one of you and Niki talking I knew you guys would be friends" he cut me off again.

I nodded and posted the photos with 'glad I got to be apart of this show with my best friend @nikiisforreal
And my boyfriend @legitdamonyoung.
I posted them and the likes went wild.
Victoria comment 'queen you slayin'
And Carter commented ' the best super model out there'
And even Taylor commented 'my best friend y'all is a model, you a boss'
And tons others.
Damon posted his and Carter was right we were the buzz today.

Taylor texted me after and said she loved my outfits and she's proud of me.
I responded with thanks and will call her as soon as I can I have some tea for her.

"Wow Carter was right" I said.
"Yeah he was, they love you Payson, good job"
He smiled and got up and went in the back of the bus.
I finished writing my chapter and then called Taylor for the tea while Damon was taking a nap in the back.
I told Taylor everything to the fashion show and even that I have to meet Damon's mom.
"Wow girl you are on fire" Taylor said.
"Thanks but now I have to meet his mom"
"Shut up no way"
"Yeah and she doesn't know we're fake dating"
"Wow girl meeting the mom that's crazy"
"Yeah it is, it's nerve wracking a bit"
"Girl you got this, the media loves you even Victoria and Carter and Niki does hello they love you as well"
"Thanks and hey when I come back we need to hang out"
"It's a date maybe ask Damon if you can sleep at my place for the night"
"I will I should go"
"Bye Payson"
"Bye Taylor"

I put my phone away and write some more.
I haven't written this much in a while but what else am I supposed to do?
I write another chapter letting my mind wonder and see where it takes me.
In the next few hours I'll be in Florida meeting Damon's mom. Here goes everything.
