Chapter 13

Damon: hey I'm going to post this pic on social of us at the party slow dancing from a few days ago
I looked at the photo and thought who in the world took this?
Payson: who took these?
Damon: Payson photographers did but you just don't notice them to pose
Payson: sorry I didn't know that, so what caption are you going to put
Damon: I'm thinking of just leaving it blank because it's mysterious
Payson: smart move
Damon: you'll post this one
He sent me a picture of me in my dress smiling at Victoria talking
Payson: I will do so and no caption right?
Damon: no caption and also your coming to the studio with me and Victoria
Payson: today?
Damon: yeah I'm picking you up after I post this
Payson: alright I'll get dressed then
Damon: see you then
I hurry up and post the pick on social and then turn it off knowing I'll get lots of comments and who knows what else.
I hear my phone ring and it's Taylor, I answer it and the first thing I here is "you got to meet Victoria!!! Girl and you look hot what the heck!"
"Whoa Taylor inside voice"
"But seriously girl, your living the life now"
"I guess?"
"You are but you look amazing I've never seen you in anything like that"
"Me either but hey I have to go Damon wants to take me to the studio"
"Alright but we're not done yet"
"Ok Tay bye"
I hang up and pick out my clothes for today which is just simple black jeans with a black tee shirt with a red plaid shirt with a black beanie, and black combat boots.
I brush my teeth and hair and put the beanie on.
I grab my things and walk out the door seeing Damon in a different color car a black Lamborghini.
I jumped in and we drove off.
"So why do I have to come to the studio with you?"
"Basically so it makes it look like we hang out outside of dates and parties"
"So this is like photo op?"
"Basically but Victoria will be there also"
"Oh so your recording your new song?"
"Yeah and then we will do a music video after"
"Wow that soon?"
"Yup the record label wants it right away"
I nodded my head.
"Reporters and the paparazzi will be there so just duck your head in me while we walk"
"Will do so"
We head into LA and go into a parking garage.
He parks the car and we both get out.
"Well head out front and walk" Damon explained to me.
"Alright" I nod.
He grabs my hand and we walk.
We walk into the light and the reporters and paparazzi comes and Damon put his arm around my shoulders while I hide my face in his chest.
We walk fast and I can smell his Abercrombie and fitch cologne which is my absolute favorite smell on a man.
"Damon who is this girl we keep seeing?"
"Damon is she your new love interest?"
"Damon are you recording a new single?"

We got to the door and a security guard opened it for us.
We walked toward the elevators and Damon let go of me and pressed the button to go up.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah I'm fine"
Damon nodded and smiled a bit.
The elevator doors opened.
We walked in and Damon clicked the number 7 on the side.
Thank goodness there's no one in here or even elevator music.
We just stood in silence until the doors opened.
"We will have to act like a couple so, Sasha and her manager will be here"
I nodded and Damon grabbed my hand and we walked down a hall where I see pictures of records signed by celebrities and some with pictures of celebrities.
We stood by a door and Damon opened it to see the recording studio.
I looks like in the shows or movies a room with a couch on one side and the guy who records the song on another with his equipment and a rolling chair for him with a little table of waters and snack. The other side of the glass window is set up where the musicians play and sing to record there song.
"Payson so nice to see you again" I look over and Victoria was here in a casual outfit of jeans and a oversized tee shirt with her hair in a bun and slight makeup but barely any and she still looks like a queen.
"Hi you as well"
"So you came here with Damon?"
"Yeah I did"
"That's great, he seems to be actually doing better now than before" she whispered the last part.
If only she knew it was fake.
"Yeah he does" is all I can say.
"Should we get this thing started Damon and Victoria" the recorder whoever he is said. He is an African American man with dreads and brown eyes and slim but looks like a chill person to be around.
"Yeah I'm ready when you are" Damon said.
"Let's do it"
They both go in the other side to record and there were other band members but I didn't know them.
"Payson you joined us today" I look over and Sasha came in the room.
"Yeah"
"I'm glad you can sit on the couch if you wanna it's going to be a while"
"Alright thank you"
I walk over and sit, Sasha pulls up a chair and sits by the recorder man.
"Victoria your manager will show up later but I'm here so we can get started" Sasha pressed a button on the machines in front of him and said.
"Sounds great"
"Track 1 starting now" the recorder told them both and pressed a button.
Damon starts singing and then Victoria.
I watched closely at how they both sang the song and Victoria puts passion in here's.
"Stop Damon you need to feel broken more, you just lost the love of your life"
Damon nodded.
"Let's start again"
It sounded a bit better but no.
They had to re-do it a few times but still couldn't do it.
"Payson you wanna help?" Sasha said to me.
"Me? What can I say?"
"Well what do think of the song?"
I stand up and Sasha presses a button.
"I think the song represents loosing the first love and sometimes you can never feel that same love again with anyone else except that one person, that's what he's saying is he's calling out to her hoping she will come back, but she's hesitant to he must of hurt her or they just had a falling out but she's wondering if she dodged a bullet or just lost also the love of her life, there having thoughts of going back to each other but just don't know"
Victoria clapped and said "dang girl that's good are you a writer or something?"
"Something like that" I said.
"That was good Payson" Sasha said and smiled to me.
"So Damon follow that let's do it again" he looks at me and smiles a bit.
"Track 7 go" the recorder said.
Damon sang but his eyes stayed on me while I was still standing by Sasha.
He kept looking at my eyes like he was looking in my sole.
Him and Victoria were so in sink and both had passion and longing.
Finally they finished and Sasha stood but shouting "that's it!!"
"I loved that take, you guys can take 5"
They both come out and Victoria hugged me and said "see you helped Damon you keep him in line"
I nodded at her and looked over at Sasha and Damon talking.
"I guess so"
She smiled at me and grabbed a water bottle and drank it.
"I want to do that take again and maybe tweak it a bit and then we can do the acoustic version after lunch then we'll be done" the recorder said.
"Sounds good to me" Damon said.
Victoria nodded and they both walked in the other side and recorded the song again and Damon did a lot better but the odd thing is he kept starring at me the whole time.
"That's a rap see you guys after 45 minutes and we'll do the acoustic version then we're done"
The two walked out of the room where they recorded and Damon walked up to me as well as Victoria.
"Ready to go?"
"Oh no I'm taking her today" Victoria told Damon.
"Alright I'll allow you to take her"
I smiled at him, I'm about to hang out with the Victoria Callis.
"Come on Payson let's go" Victoria
We walk out and I wave at Damon goodbye.
We walk to the elevator and  Victoria presses down.
"We're going to the cafe on the 4th floor it's pretty good"
"Sounds great"
The elevator opened and pressed the 4th floor.
We were silent waiting for us to get on the 4th floor.
The elevator opened and we walked out, we walked to the cafe and ordered our food. There was all kinds of options from American, Chinese, Mexican, Italian normally that's at a mall cafe but let's just say it's definitely not the mall quality it's better.
I ordered a salad with chicken  quesadillas and Victoria ordered a salad with fries and chicken sandwich which I'm glad she's not one of those who eats only cucumber water and salads.
"How did you and Damon meet?"
"I was a waitress and he came into the diner I was working at and I was his waitress and we clicked I guess" I didn't know what else to say.
"Really you were a waitress?" Now I'm self conscious I know it's a low job.
"Yeah"
"That's cool and then your leading to being boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"I hope so I guess?" I can't tell her yes because she will catch on.
"Oooh you make him better"
"How's that?"
She sighs and says "he's changing not going out to party's, not doing one night stands as I've seen at least, and you can tell he's not drinking as much as he used to"
"And may I ask what did I do ?"
"Your ,your not some tramp"
"Yeah, what made him turn?"
"He hasn't told you?"
I shook my head no.
"He has a past yeah his career started on YouTube and did other things but his past is what hurt him so he numbed his pain and I think it just makes him forget instead of sulking in his house"
"How do you know all of this, that he has a past?"
"We've known each other for years, we've been friends since we both started our careers around the same time"
I was shocked they're friends.
"Your friends with him?" My eyes wide shocked.
She laughed at bit and said "yes we met at our first event and we clicked but that was before he went all sideways but I decided maybe to help him we can do a song duet  and hopefully spend more time together and maybe help him but it looks like you are and i'm loving you already better than his last ones he used to date for a month, or his one night stands but he better not hurt you or I hurt him"
I chuckled at what she said about me and thought I wonder what happened to him.
"Wow I like you as well Victoria"
She smiled and said "I want your number what is it?"
She wants my number what?!?
"You want my number?"
"Yes"
I gave it to her and she gave me mine and I was already following her on social media but she followed me and we took a selfie together and she posted it on her story and every one went nuts. More people following me and then asking who am I? Why am I hanging with Victoria? And she looks like Damon's new girl?
"Don't worry about the media or people's comments"
"Thanks it's a bit overwhelming"
"It gets better a bit just don't take yourself too seriously"
"Thanks"
"Anytime we're friends now"
I am jumping in excitement on the inside. This is a dream come true.
"Let's head up before we get yelled at" I laughed and we got up dumped our trash and went up to the studio.

Once we got there Victoria's manager was there and Damon and Sasha.
"How was your time?" Damon came home to me and asked.
"It was fun"
"Good I'm glad"
"Yours?"
"Eh just work things"
"Fun"
"Yeah it's fun alright" he gave me a look like really?
I chuckled at him.
"Alright we're doing the acoustic version and then we're out.
Damon and Victoria walk in the other side and Damon grabbed a guitar and played it.
Damon and Victoria sang together.
After a few tracks they took a break and Damon came to the couch where I was and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. It was odd but I know it's for show and his hands were circling my shoulders which felt nice and warm.
"Aww I'm taking a picture you both are so cute"
Victoria grabbed her phone and took an picture of me and Damon.
"Smile" she said and I did as well as Damon.
"Perfect and now Sasha can you take a pic of all three of us?"
Sasha smiles and said "sure".
Victoria came and sat on the other side of me and we all smiled and Sasha took the pic.
"Thanks it looks great, I'll send the two of you the pic with you both and all three of us we should all post it and say the same caption with us three like 'in the studio messing around'" Victoria said.
She sent us the pictures and it looks great and we all post is three tagging each other and then me and Damon post the other one saying ' hanging around' and Victoria commented with a heart and too cute you two.
We finish up and after a long day Damon takes me home.
"Thank you for bringing me it was fun today"
"No problem Victoria seems to love you"
"She's fun and a dream"
"She's a regular to"
"I know and that's the thing is I got to talk to her over lunch but in a friend way"
He chuckled "yeah well I'll talk to you soon"
"Yeah bye Damon" I got out of the car and he said "bye Payson"
I shut the car and walked into my apartment and seeing my following has gone up like crazy and lots of comments and likes on my pic I posted.
Some are 'who is this tramp?'That hurt.
'She's not even pretty'
'She's chubby'
Then there was good comments
'Aww she's so cute'
'These two look good together'
'Whoever she is I hope she's Damon's new girl, better than his old ones'

I text Taylor and tell her to call me and she immediately does and we talk about what happened so far and how I got to go to Victoria's  party and now we're friends and got to go to the studio with Damon and Victoria and we took pictures and got to go to lunch and had a real conversation.
Taylor was so thrilled and saw the pic on social and went nuts and Victoria's story and screened excitingly.
"Girl your living the dream"
"It's crazy"
"I'm so happy for you Payson"
"Thank you I'm tired now it's like 12 p.m. at night"
"Good night Payson"
"Night Tay"
I hang up and get ready for bed. This is my life now long days and late nights. I don't know how celebrities do this almost every day because I'm exhausted.
