Chapter 25 Damon's POV

I open my eyes and look over to see no one.

Where's Payson?
I get up and go to the bathroom first then put on a shirt.
I go down stairs and see my mom at the kitchen table with her coffee.
"Do you know where Payson is?"
My mom looks up and smiles and says "she went on a run"
"On a run?" I raise my eye brow.
"Yeah"
"Alone?"
"Yes Damon"
"You let her go out there alone, mom I'm not with her, what if the press see her or crazy fans I can't be there to protect her"
She chuckles and says "calm down Damon she'll be fine"
"Fine!! No mom she's vulnerable right now I can't have someone coming after her"
She gives me soft eyes and gets up from her chair to go over to the coffee machine. She pours a cup and gives me a cup with creamer.
"I have never seen you care, love, a girl before like Payson, but Damon she's fine, she left 30 minutes ago she'll be back soon and if not then you will call her"
I sigh and put creamer into my coffee and stir it.

Well now I know I won my mom for our fake relationship. That's a good thing.
I sip on my coffee and go to the kitchen table and sit down.

I hear the door open and see Payson sweaty.
She grabs some water and drinks it.
"How was it?" My mom asked.
"It was good, I love the beach"
"I'm so glad, why don't you two go wash up and I'll make breakfast, hopefully Carter will be up"
I get up and walk with Payson up stairs.
"Why didn't you wake me?"
"Because I didn't want to" she looks at me confused.
"Payson you could've been crowded with press, or crazy fans then what would you do?"
"I was fine Damon, am I not allowed to go out with just me?"
"Payson your with me, we have to stick together so your safe, and so nobody comes at you"
"Damon I need some freedom also, I think an early run is fine, nobody was out"
I sigh and we both head in my room and pick out our clothes.
"Just tell me next time, even if you wake me up ok?"
"Fine" she said kinda irritated.
"I was worried"
I step near her.
"Damon am I dead?"
"No but that's not what I meant, I meant someone coming at you with questions, or something else"
She nods and grabs her clothes and says "I'm going to shower"
I nod and leave her to her business.

What is up with me? This is not the Damon I know. I never cared what a girl did, I didn't care if she left, if the press mobbed her, I don't care what she did that day or her girl drama. I just never cared because I never got too close or committed.
I shook it off and got dressed.

Eventually Payson came out of the bathroom and she was wearing a pair of jeans with a Levi's shirt.
I see her hair dripping from the shower and with a bare no makeup face. Just herself, I see her bare self.
She's beautiful. Wait what?
I snap out and go to the bathroom brush my teeth and hair adding Abercrombie and Fitch cologne.
I get out of the bathroom and see her putting on her white converse shoes.
"Ready?" I ask her.
"Yeah"
We walk out of my room and head down stairs.
I see Carter with a cup of coffee and my mom made eggs, pancakes and coffee.
I sit down with Payson and we started eating together.

"So Payson do you know where we're going today?" Carter asked.
"No?" She looks confused.
"Disney, we're preforming there tonight but going there and hanging out to"
"No way for real?" She looks to me.
"Yeah it was supposed to be a surprise" I looked to Carter.
"Sorry" Carter looked down and grabbed some eggs and stuffed it in his mouth.

We finished eating then helped my mom with dishes then left.
"So what are we going to do first?" Payson asked.
"Well me and Carter have to rehearse and then we get to hang out at the park before the performance tonight" Carter said.

She nodded and we drove to the park.

We parked and then went inside the park, nobody was there because we got it reserved for us.

We went to the stage where the Cinderella castle is and me and Carter rehearsed our songs. Payson was sitting where the audience would be tonight on her phone probably writing more.

Gosh I hope she's ok even though I talked about being with her and the press. I know I'm getting a little overboard but I guess with her being an outsider I just want to keep her close so nothing happens to her.

We finish up and I go to Payson and sit next to her.
"Are we good?"
She looks up from her phone and gives me a confused look.
"From this morning I'm sorry I am being a little too protective and I need to allow you to have your freedom"
"It's ok, I understand why but I do need a bit of space sometimes"
I nod "I understand and I will allow you to but can you at least tell me even if you have to wake me up?"
"Ok fine"
"We're you writing?"
"Yeah I'm almost done just have one more chapter then I'm done"
"You serious?"
"Yes"
"Send me all of it"
"Fine but don't do anything to it"
I put my hands up and say "I won't"
She chuckled and we wait for Carter to be done.

"So what now?" Payson ask.
"Girl we have the whole park to ourselves for three hours let's go ride" Carter says.
I chuckle and we go on rides.
Dumbo, the haunted mansion, it's a small world now I admit that song is not as good as they make it especially when it's repeated lots of times, we went on rollercoasters, some Payson chickened out on, we saw Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie, Cinderella, Belle, Tinker Bell.
We took tons of pictures and posted them on social media which went crazy.

It was a fun time, no press, not worrying about my reputation, not worrying if people will see that me and Payson aren't actually a thing, just me and my friends hanging out having the best time.

We ate good food and got souvenirs from the gift shop. Then we went back stage and I saw my mom there waiting.
She is watching the concert tonight with Payson back stage.
"You guys ready?" She asked.
"Yeah we are"
"Go kill it boys" she smiles and hugs both me and Carter.

Carter goes out and does his performance and then I go out and we do one together, one of his songs called 'I Want' basically saying some girls just want things, want clothes, want jewelry instead of actually wanting the actual relationship.

Then it was my turn. For the 'adore' song I brought Payson to the stage and sang to her.
She smiled and then she went back stage after it was done. The crowd went wild.
"We love you and Payson"
"Payson and Damon forever"
"Wow thanks guys it means a lot, who's ready for more?" I asked.
The crowd screamed and we kept going.

For the ending me and Carter did a song and fireworks went off behind us.

That was the end and the crowd loved us.

Afterwards was meet and greet then home.

We met fans and took pictures.

After we went back stage to my dressing room and my mom and Payson were there.
"You guys did amazing" my mom said.
"Thanks mom"
"So ready to head out?"
"Yeah I'm ready"
"You did good" Payson walked towards me and said.
"Thanks let's go I'm tired"
"Wow big star is tired I thought he can stay up all night" she laughed a bit and I did to.
"No not all the time"
We walk out and head back to my moms place.

Today was great. I just wish it was always like this.
